Long Term Illness or Accident Leave. When a unit member has exhausted 12 all earned sick leave as provided for in Section 12.2 or 12.7 of this Article and is 13 absent due to a long-term illness or accident, the unit member shall be granted an 14 additional non-accumulated long term sick leave, not to exceed one-hundred (100) 15 days per illness or injury. Under no circumstance may an employee exceed one- 16 hundred (100) days long term illness or injury leave per school year. The conditions 17 for this leave are as follows:

Long Term Illness or Accident Leave. (Ed. Code 44977) - After all earned sick leave has been used, based 2 on a doctor's off-work order, an additional five (5) months or 100 days of difference pay, whichever is 3 longer, for long term illness or accident leave shall be granted. Difference pay is the difference between 4 the unit member's per diem contract salary and the District's daily or long-term substitute rate of pay.

  • Long Term Leave Any employee who declines a reappointment as a Teaching Assistant in order to interrupt his/her program of graduate study for a period not to exceed one (1) year will not jeopardize his/her consideration for reappointment under Article l3.03.

  • Long Term Leaves Long-term leaves are expected to be one year or less in duration to the extent feasible. At the end of the leave the employee will be returned to his/her former position or a position of similar nature.   • Long Term Leave of Absence The District may grant any employee an unpaid long-term leave of absence for up to one (1) year for study, child rearing, travel, medical, or other mutually agreed to reason(s). Upon Board approval leave may be extended an additional year. Employees granted such a leave shall be permitted to stay on the District insurance programs at their own expense (carriers permitting), shall not gain or lose seniority or other benefits, but shall not be granted advancement credit on the salary schedule for the period of the leave. Upon return from such leave, the employee shall be entitled to the same position or a position substantially equivalent to the position held prior to the leave.

  • Long Term Disability Plan The Welfare Plan will include a Long Term Disability Plan summarized in Appendix “2”.

  • Long Term Disability The Employer agrees to provide Long Term Disability benefits for active full-time employees after fifty-two (52) weeks if an Employee is unable to perform any occupation (reasonably suited by means of training, education or experience).
