Section 4.7. Association Leave. 42 Up to a maximum of ten (10) days of leave with pay shall be granted to the association co-president or 43 his/her designee for Association business under the following provisions: 44 45 • That such leave is requested in writing to the Superintendent by the employee and the 46 Association with a copy to the immediate supervisor. 47 • That the association reimburses the District for the cost of the substitute for the absent 48 employee.
Section 4.7. Association Leave. The Association shall be entitled to fifteen (15) District paid days of release 2 time for Association business plus forty-five (45) days of release time whereby the Association will pay the 3 substitute costs, unless there is mutual agreement between the Director of Human Resources and the ACE 4 President that a substitute is not needed for that unit member.
Section 4.7. Association Leave. The District will grant a total of fifteen (15) paid leaves to the Association for meetings, conferences, 3 negotiations or Association business. Each leave will be equal to one (1) regular work shift of the affected 4 employee. The Association agrees to reimburse the District for the cost of substitutes required for such 5 release time. Additional Association leave may be granted by the Superintendent. Requests for association 6 leave will be submitted in writing to the employee’s supervisor at least one (1) business day before the 7 leave is to take effect. The reason for the leave is to be clearly stated. No more than two (2) employees per 8 single classification or four (4) employees District-wide may utilize such leave on any given day. 10 Whenever Association representatives, grievants, or witnesses are mutually scheduled with the 11 Administration’s representatives to participate in grievance hearings during work hours, said employees 12 shall suffer no loss of pay. The Union and the District will endeavor to schedule all grievance hearings 13 during the employee's regular workday.
