MEAL BREAKS/REST PAUSES. 15.1 Subject to approval of the employer an employee or group of employees may: (a) Take a paid meal break of 20 minutes in the morning (no later than 5 hours from commencement of work). An employee or a group of employees on a particular site may take a 30 minute or longer unpaid lunch meal break between Noon and 1pm or forgo the unpaid meal break and work through so that they finish earlier. No claim for an extra payment, penalty or premium will be made on the company; or (b) Agree to any other arrangements in writing that provide for a paid rest pause or unpaid meal break no later than 5 hours from commencement of work.
