Meal Period and Rest Breaks. 9.01 Paid Breaks: Employees shall be entitled to the following paid breaks: Hours Worked Break Entitlement Shift under 4 hours One (1) fifteen (15) minute rest break Shift of over four (4) hours up to six (6) hours One (1) thirty (30) minute meal break Shift of over six (6) hours One thirty (30) minute meal break and One (1) fifteen (15) minute rest break Breaks are to be scheduled during a regularly scheduled shift, subject to operational needs and by mutual agreement of the employee and Employer. It is understood that Management may cover breaks to ensure compliance with municipal bylaws for minimum staffing levels.
