Unpaid Meal Period. An employee shall be entitled to an unpaid meal period of at least one- half (½) hour as close as possible to the middle of each full shift.
Unpaid Meal Period. The Employer and Union agree to unpaid meal periods that vary from and supersede the unpaid meal period requirements required by WAC 000-000-000. Employees will be provided with one unpaid meal period of at least 30 minutes during any shift that exceeds five hours in length. When an employee’s unpaid meal period is interrupted by work duties, the employee will be allowed to resume their unpaid meal period following the interruption, if possible, and to complete the 30-minute unpaid meal period. In the event the employee is unable to complete the 30-minute unpaid meal period due to operational necessity, the employee shall be entitled to appropriate compensation to be computed based on the actual number of minutes worked within the 30-minute unpaid meal period. An employee whose shift is extended at least three (3) hours longer than a normal workday will be entitled to another 30-minute unpaid meal period. This second meal period must be given within five (5) hours from the end of the first meal period and for each five (5) hours worked thereafter. If the Employee chooses to waive the overtime meal period requirements, he/she will do so in writing.
Unpaid Meal Period. Employees working a shift of more than five (5) hours shall receive an unpaid meal period of not less than one half (½) hour commencing not earlier than two (2) hours after their shift started and not later than five (5) hours into their shift. Employees called back to work from a meal period shall be considered not to have had any portion of the meal period. They shall be given their applicable meal period later in their shift.
Unpaid Meal Period a) For all operations other than regular operations requiring more than nineteen and one-half (19½) continuous hours, an unpaid meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes nor more than one
(1) hour shall be provided and regularly assigned within one (1) hour each way from the middle of the tour of duty.
b) When the needs of the service make it necessary, such meal period may be given within a period of forty-five (45) minutes in advance of or forty-five (45) minutes following the established meal period.
c) If such meal period is not allowed within the range set forth in F.2.b. above, the employee shall be paid for the full meal period at the rate of time and one-half and in lieu of the full meal period will be granted twenty (20) minutes away from the employee’s work station without deduction in pay.
d) If no meal period is permitted during the employee’s tour of duty, the employee shall be paid one
(1) hour at the rate of time and one-half.

Unpaid Meal Period. Except where mutually agreed between the Employer and the employee, one (1) unpaid meal period of thirty (30) minutes shall be scheduled for each employee working a shift of at least five (5) hours.

Unpaid Meal Period. Each employee working four hours per day or more will receive an Employer scheduled unpaid duty-free lunch period of at least 30 minutes. All supervisors shall refrain from discussing any work-related business during the employee’s employer scheduled unpaid meal break. Under circumstances, such as staff training, but not limited to, where the employee does not receive at least a 30-minute duty free lunch period, the employee shall be compensated for the lunch break.
