Lunch and Rest Breaks. (a) Normally, a non-paid lunch break of either one half (½) hour or one (1) hours duration will be taken halfway through each shift. However, if job conditions require, the lunch break may be moved up to one (1) hour in either direction.
(b) Two (2) mid-shift breaks of ten (10) minutes will be allowed in each regular shift. The first break shall be between the starting time and the scheduled lunch break. The second break between the scheduled lunch break and quitting time. Breaks will be taken at mid-shift.
(c) Where it is intended that at least one hour of overtime will be worked, or in all cases of scheduled overtime, a ten (10) minute break will be allowed following the end of the regular shift.
Lunch and Rest Breaks. 8.3.1 A Unit Member whose work day consists of six (6) hours or more shall have a duty- free unpaid lunch period of not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than sixty (60) minutes per day. A six (6) hour instructional-setting Unit Member who does not receive a fifteen (15) minute break due to program needs, may, when pre-approved by their immediate supervisor, add fifteen (15) minutes to their lunch break. The duration of the lunch break shall be determined by the Employer, or his/her designee, based on the Unit Member’s assignment. When applicable, said lunch period shall be assigned by the Unit Member’s Department Head at approximately halfway through the Unit Member’s assigned work day.
8.3.2 A Unit Member may, with the approval of his/her Department Head, vary the assigned lunch break from time-to-time or on a permanent basis.
8.3.3 A Unit Member authorized or in an emergency required to work in lieu of a lunch break shall be compensated in accordance with Section 8.2 of this Article.
8.3.4 A Unit Member shall be granted a rest period not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes for each four (4) hours of work during a normal work day. The time of and location for the rest break shall be as specified by the Unit Member’s Department Head, or his/her designee.
Lunch and Rest Breaks. Employees will have a thirty (30) minute lunch break without pay at an appropriate time during an eight (8) hour shift. Employees will also have a fifteen (15) minute paid rest break during each half of an eight (8) hour shift.
Lunch and Rest Breaks. 5.5.1 Unit members assigned six (6) hours or more per day shall receive a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break as scheduled by the site supervisor according to the needs of the work site.
5.5.2 Unit members shall be granted rest periods which shall be taken at or near the midpoint of each work period at the rate of fifteen (15) minutes per four (4) hours or major fraction thereof.

1. Employees who work at least seven hours in a work day will be scheduled for a 30 minute lunch break without pay at or near the midpoint of the scheduled day. Employees who work at least four but less than seven hours in a work day may be scheduled for a 30 minute lunch break without pay at or near the midpoint of the scheduled day.

Employees who work at least seven hours in a work day shall be entitled to a 15 minute paid break period during the first half of their work day and a 15 minute paid break period during the second half of their day. Employees who work at least four but less than seven hours in a work day shall be entitled to one 15 minute paid break. Such breaks may not be scheduled during the first or the last hour of either half of the employee's work day.

Departmental supervisors may agree to reduce the lunch break to 30 minutes without pay if consistent with service and coverage requirements. Employees scheduled to work at least 7 hours in a work day shall be entitled to a 15 minute paid break period during the first half of their work day and a 15 minute paid break period during the second half of their day. Employees who work at least 4 hours but less than 7 hours in a work day shall be entitled to one 15 minute paid break. Such breaks may not be scheduled during the first or the last hour of either half of the employee's work day.
Lunch and Rest Breaks. All full time unit members shall be entitled to at least a one-half (1/2) hour lunch break. The lunch period shall be as close to the mid-point of the eight (8) hour work shift as possible, but shall not start prior to the third (3rd) hour or later than the fifth (5th) hour. Any unit member working at least four (4) hours shall receive one (1) fifteen (15) minute break. Unit members working five (5) consecutive hours or more shall receive at least a one-half (1/2) hour duty-free, unpaid lunch break.
Lunch and Rest Breaks. No employee shall be required to work longer than five consecutive hours during his regular shift without receiving one-half hour break for the purpose of eating a meal. Each employee will receive two fifteen minute paid breaks throughout the day. Employees working away from the plant may have their breaks scheduled one (1) hour from the commencement of work if they so choose. Scheduled time windows and priority deliveries during an ad week will take precedence over breaks at all times. Delivery Drivers will not be deducted ½ hour for the lunch break. Established merchandising standards must be maintained and loads must be delivered as scheduled.

Lunch and Rest Breaks. The parties agree to specifically supersede in total the 25 State provisions regarding meal and rest periods for Employees. Employees will be entitled to meal 26 and rest periods only as described in this Agreement, and not those provided by State law.
