Money for Continuing Education. The Board agrees to reimburse certified personnel tuition costs, not to exceed the per credit charge set by Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville). The pool amount shall be ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for the 2023-2024 school year, twelve thousand dollars ($12,000) for the 2024-2025 school year, fourteen thousand dollars ($14,000) for the 2025-2026 school year, sixteen thousand dollars ($16,000) for the 2026-2027 school year, and eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000) for the 2027-2028 school year. Tuition reimbursement shall be limited to graduate courses in the field of education. No teacher shall be entitled to reimbursement for more than 15 semester hours per school year (fall-summer). In order to become eligible for reimbursement, the teacher shall file proof of courses completed (achieved grade of B, or better) and credits earned in the District office by October 1st of the following year. Coursework is eligible for tuition reimbursement so long as the coursework comes from an institution found on the Illinois State Board of Education directory (xxxxx://xxx.xxxx.xxx/doap), the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Directory of Approved Institutions (xxxxx://xxxx.xx.xxx/educator- quality/educator-preparation/programs), or is approved by the Superintendent. Reimbursement shall be paid one time per school year, on October 15th for the previous school year to include fall, spring, and summer semesters. Money for Continuing Education. The Board agrees to reimburse licensed teaching personnel tuition costs. The pool amount shall be $9,000 each year for the life of this contract. Eligible teachers will have been under contract with the district at the time of course approval and completion as well as at the time of reimbursement calculation. Tuition reimbursement shall be limited to graduate courses in the field of education. No teacher shall be entitled to reimbursement for more than three semester hours per fall semester, three semester hours per spring semester, or nine semester hours per summer term. In order to become eligible for reimbursement, the teacher shall file proof of courses completed (achieved grade of B or better) and credits earned in the District office by August 15 of the following year. Payment for approved tuition reimbursement will be paid by August 30. The district will not reimburse tuition for graduate correspondence or electronic coursework unless it is pre-approved by the superintendent with the following exception.   • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Distance Education 7.13.1 Expanding student access, not increasing productivity or enrollment, shall be the primary determining factor when a decision is made to schedule a distance education course. There will be no reduction in force of faculty (as defined in Article XXIII of this Agreement) as a result of the District’s participation in distance education. 7.13.2 Courses considered to be offered as distance education shall be defined in accordance with the Board of Governors’ Title 5 Regulations and Guidelines. Generally, this definition refers to courses where the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technology (reference section 55370 of Title 5 California Code of Regulations). The determination of which courses in the curriculum may be offered in a distance education format, in addition to instructor/student contact requirements, shall be in accordance with the Title 5 California Code of Regulations.

  • General Education Requirements Students who intend to transfer to SUNY Buffalo State College with an A.A. or A.S. degree, will be considered as having fulfilled general education/Intellectual Foundations as long as they complete the 30 credits and 7 of 10 areas of SUNY-GER requirements prior to the start of their studies at SUNY Buffalo State College. Students should have successfully completed the SUNY-GER Basic Communication requirement with a grade of “C” or better, the mathematics requirement, and 5 of the remaining 8 categories. The student is responsible for fulfilling the SUNY Buffalo State College Diversity requirement.
