Multiple Measures of Effectiveness Sample Clauses

Multiple Measures of Effectiveness. Observations and Evaluations A percentage (60%) of the teacher’s APPR composite score is based on other measures of teacher effectiveness consistent with standards defined by the Commissioner. The standards from the Xxxxxxxxx Rubric 2011 Revised will be used to evaluate teachers. In order to support continuous professional growth, 5 out of 60 points may be based on the teacher goal setting process and 55 out of 60 points shall be based upon the Xxxxxxxxx Rubric 2011 Revised. This goal is optional and at the discretion of the teacher. The following formula will be used to calculate the number of points for the teacher effectiveness composite score (the rubric is a four point rubric) for each element. There are four domains. Each domain is comprised of a set of sub-domains. It is not necessary that an evaluator observe every sub-domain each year. A domain will receive an overall domain rating if one sub-domain is rated therefore at least half of the sub-domains in a domain should be rated so that the overall rating is an average and not based on one sub-domain. Each sub-domain that is rated will be scored as follows: Element Score Performance Level 1 Ineffective 2 Developing 3 Effective 4 Highly Effective

Multiple Measures of Effectiveness. The remaining 60% (or 60 out of the total 100 point composite score) of the composite effectiveness score shall be based solely on teacher observations. As part of the evaluation process, teachers will submit artifacts pertaining to any element of the rubric for consideration by an administrator prior to May 15. Annual goal setting shall not be required for teachers, except where necessary in setting Student Learning Objectives.
Multiple Measures of Effectiveness. The District and the Association recognize that effective assessment of teaching practice is a progression and have agreed to utilize a cyclical teacher evaluation and development process supported by the collection and analysis of evidence. The forms for the evaluation process are included in the Appendix of this document.
