Unannounced Observations i. Unannounced observations may be in the form of partial or full-period classroom visitations which are typically at least ten minutes, Walkthroughs, or any other means deemed useful by the Educator, Evaluator, principal, superintendent, or other administrator.
ii. The Educator will be provided with at least brief written feedback from the Evaluator within five school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the Educator in person, by password protected email, electronic sharing tool, placed in the Educator's mailbox, or mailed to the Educator's home.
iii. Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement for the first time may be followed by at least one observation of at least 30 minutes in duration within 30 school days.
Unannounced Observations a. Unannounced observations may be in the form of partial or full-period classroom visitations. The Evaluator shall observe the Educator for at least five (5) minutes. The Educator may request that the Evaluator stay longer.
b. The Educator will be provided with at least brief written feedback from the Evaluator within 5 school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the Educator in person, placed in the Educator’s mailbox or mailed to the Educator’s home.
c. Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement for the first time must be followed by at least one observation of at least 30 minutes in duration within 30 school days. The Educator shall be given a written document that summarizes the issues, action(s) to be taken to correct it, and a time frame for the subsequent observation to demonstrate the completion of such action(s).
Unannounced Observations a. Unannounced observations may be in the form of partial or full-period classroom visitations, instructional rounds, walkthroughs, learning walks, or any other means deemed useful by the evaluator.
b. In case of an observation that raises questions or concerns, the evaluator shall request an in-person conference with the educator within five (5) school days of the observation.
c. The educator will be provided with at least brief written feedback from the evaluator within five to seven (5 to 7) school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the educator in person, electronically, placed in the educator’s school mailbox in a sealed envelope or, in the event that, after good faith efforts, other options are unsuccessful or unavailable, mailed to the educator’s home.
d. Any observation or series of observations resulting in one (1) or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement for the first time must be followed by at least one (1) observation of at least thirty (30) minutes in duration within thirty (30) school days.
Unannounced Observations i) Unannounced observations may be in the form of a school site or work site visitation or any other means deemed useful by the Evaluator. Visitations may include, but are not limited to: staff meetings, team meetings, classroom visits with supervising evaluator, walkabouts within the school or department, or individual conferences with students or parents.
ii) The Administrator will be provided with at least brief written feedback from the Evaluator within 3-5 school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the Administrator in person, placed in the Administrator's mailbox or mailed to the Administrator's home.
iii) Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement for the first time must be followed by at least one observation of a similar administrative activity within 30 school days.
Unannounced Observations. Unannounced observations may be in the form of partial or full-period classroom visitations, Instructional Rounds, Walkthroughs, Learning Walks, or any other means deemed useful by the evaluator, director, executive director or other administrator.
Unannounced Observations. All unannounced observations shall be conducted according to the following:
i. The Evaluator shall observe the Educator between 5 and 15 minutes.
ii. Upon entering the room for purposes of an unannounced observation, the Evaluator will verbally inform the Educator the purpose of the visit is for an unannounced observation.
iii. The Educator will be provided with written feedback from the Evaluator within 5 school days of the observation. If either the Educator or the Evaluator requests a meeting to discuss the observation, such a meeting will take place within 5 school days.
iv. Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement must be followed by at least one announced observation of at least 30 minutes in duration within 20 school days. Before the announced observation, the Educator shall be given a written document that summarizes the issue, the action(s) to be taken to correct it, and a time frame for the subsequent observation to demonstrate the completion of such action(s).
v. Any unannounced observation which may result in disciplinary action shall be brought to the attention of the Educator within 48 hours at a post-observation conference where both the Educator and the Evaluator can be present.
Unannounced Observations. All unannounced observations shall be conducted according to the following:
i. The Evaluator shall observe the Educator for a minimum of ten (10) minutes.
ii. Upon entering the room for purposes of an unannounced observation, the Evaluator will attempt to verbally inform the Educator the purpose of the visit is for an unannounced observation.
iii. The Educator will be provided with written feedback from the Evaluator within five (5) school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be provided to the Educator. If either the Educator or the Evaluator requests a meeting to discuss the observation, such a meeting will take place within five (5) school days.
iv. Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement must be followed by at least one announced observation of at least thirty (30) minutes in duration within twenty (20) school days. The Educator shall be given a written document that summarizes the issues, the action(s) to be taken to correct it, and a time frame for the subsequent observation to demonstrate the completion of such action(s).
v. Any unannounced observation, which raises a serious performance concern, shall be brought to the attention of the Educator within two school days at a post-observation conference where both the Educator and the Evaluator can be present.
Unannounced Observations i) All non-PTS teachers will be observed 6-8 times/school year.
ii) PTS teachers will be observed 4-6 times/school year.
iii) Unannounced observations may be in the form of partial or full-period classroom visitations, Instructional Rounds, Walkthroughs, Learning Walks, or any other means deemed useful by the Evaluator, principal, superintendent or other administrator, provided that they are at least ten (10) minutes in duration.
iv) The Educator will be provided with at least brief written feedback from the Evaluator within 3-5 school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the Educator in person, by email, placed in the Educator’s mailbox or mailed to the Educator’s home. The Educator must sign the written feedback from the Evaluator within five (5) school days of receipt. The Educator may provide a written response to the Evaluator’s feedback within the same five (5) day period available to sign the written feedback.
Unannounced Observations i. Unannounced observations may be in the form of partial or full-period classroom visitations of at least 15 minutes and no longer than one class/subject period
ii. The Educator will be provided written feedback from the Evaluator on the attached form within 3 school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the Educator in person, by email, or placed in the Educator’s mailbox.
iii. The Educator shall have the opportunity to respond in writing to any feedback from the Evaluator. The Educator shall sign the form and return to the Evaluator within 5 school days. The signature does not indicate agreement or disagreement with its contents.
iv. Any observation resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory for the first time must be followed by at least one observation of at least 30 minutes in duration within 30 school days. Any observation resulting in one or more standards judged to be needs improvement and at the request of the Educator, the Evaluator will follow up with an additional observation within 30 school days.
Unannounced Observations i. Unannounced observations may be in the form of full-period classroom visitations or partial visits lasting at least ten minutes. This excludes Instructional Rounds, Walkthroughs, Learning Walks, or any other similar group activities. Educators will be provided advance notice if these excluded visits have three or more participants visiting classrooms.
ii. The Educator will be provided with written feedback from the Evaluator within five school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the Educator in person, by email, sent electronically, placed in the Educator’s mailbox, or mailed to the Educator’s home. In addition, Educators on a Directed Growth or Improvement Plan will be provided with the opportunity to meet with the Evaluator after the observation.
