Noise Mitigation Measures. An acoustical analysis report prepared by a professional experienced in the field of acoustical engineering describing noise attenuation measures to be applied in the development, together with an analysis of the effectiveness of the proposed noise insulation, in order to determine if the prescribed interior noise level requirements are met. If allowable interior noise levels are met by requiring that windows be inoperable or closed, the design for the structure must also specify the means that will be employed to provide ventilation and cooling to ensure a habitable interior environment, as well as to meet fire safe regulations.
Noise Mitigation Measures. The following measures to mitigate adverse road traffic noise impact from Fat Kwong Street and Chung Hau Street will be provided in the Development:
(a) Noise barriers,and
(b) Fixed windows. Location of noise barriers: • Noise barriers of heights of 66.5mPD and 69.8mPD shall be installed at Towers 7 and 8 respectively on the side facing Fat Kwong Street. • Noise barriers of a height of 63.2mPD shall be installed at the podium in front of Houses 1 to 3, 5 to 8 on the side facing Chung Hau Street and Fat Kwong Street. • Noise barriers of a height of 62.7mPD shall be installed at the podium in front of Tower 1 and Tower 2 on the side facing Chung Hau Street. Please refer to “Layout Plan of the Development” Section in this Sales Brochure on page 20 showing the locations of the noise barriers and “Cross- section Plan of Building in the Phase” Section of this Sales Brochure on pages 114 to 118 for more details on the location and extent of the noise barriers. Prospective purchasers please note the impact (if any) of the existence of noise barriers on the views of individual units. Please refer to “Floor Plans of Residential Properties in the Phase” Section of this Sales Brochure on pages 22 to 83 for more details on the location of the fixed windows. Under the Deed of Mutual Covenant of the Development, owners are prohibited from altering or converting the fixed window(s) in his own unit into openable window(s) or installation(s), save with the prior written consent of the Building Authority and other competent Government authorities.
Noise Mitigation Measures. The LACMTA shall abide by the provisions of Article XIV of the Agreement, “Noise Control Plans and Mitigation Measures.” The LACMTA shall abide by Exhibit E of the Agreement, “Metro 5-Step Noise Control Plan.”
Noise Mitigation Measures. No Owner shall alter, interfere with or remove, or permit or be suffered to be altered, interfered with or removed any part of the Noise Mitigation Measures which forms part of his Residential Unit except in accordance with the Building Plans. Each Owner shall at his own costs and expenses appoint contractors nominated by the Manager to carry out repair, maintenance, replacement or reinstatement of the Noise Mitigation Measures which form part of his Residential Unit and by using those materials approved by the Manager.
Noise Mitigation Measures. (a) No Owner shall alter, interfere with or remove, or permit or be suffered to be altered, interfered with or removed any part or parts of the Noise Mitigation Measures which form part of his Residential Unit except in accordance with the Building Plans. Each Owner shall at his own costs and expenses repair, maintain, replace or reinstate the Noise Mitigation Measures which form part of his Residential Unit and appoint contractors for carrying out the repair, maintenance, replacement or reinstatement of the Noise Mitigation Measures which form part of his Residential Unit by using those materials as approved by the Manager; and
(b) In the event of sub-clause (a) above being in breach, the Manager, without prejudice to the right of the other Owners, shall have the right to demand the defaulting Owners to remedy the breach forthwith and if the defaulting Owners shall fail to comply with the Manager’s demand, the Manager shall have the right to take such steps as it may in its absolute discretion consider necessary to secure compliance with sub-clause (a) above, including but not limited to the right to enter upon the Residential Units concerned and carry out the repair, maintenance, replacement or reinstatement of the Noise Mitigation Measures forming part of the Residential Units which are in breach of sub-clause (a) above at the cost of the defaulting Owner. The Manager shall recover from the defaulting Owner and the defaulting Owner shall pay to the Manager all costs incurred by the Manager for or in relation to the steps taken by the Manager for the aforesaid purpose.
Noise Mitigation Measures. A. Temporary sound attenuation (sound walls), capable of reducing sound generated by the onsite operations to meet the Contra Costa County noise ordinance shall be installed and removed at/from the Well 8 site.
B. The length of the sound attenuation structure required shall be approximately 200 linear feet and shall be installed between the drilling equipment and the nearby residences. The height of the sound walls shall be a minimum of 16 feet.
Noise Mitigation Measures. Direct noise mitigation measures are not considered necessary as the increases of traffic noise impacts are less than 1.0 dB(A) at any of the representative NSRs.
Noise Mitigation Measures. The EIA Report has recommended construction noise control and mitigation measures. The Contractor shall be responsible for the design and implementation of these measures. Noise emissions from construction sites can be minimised through good site practice and selecting quiet plant. These methods are discussed in the following paragraphs. Good site practice and noise management can considerably reduce the impact of construction site activities on nearby NSRs. The following package of measures shall be followed during each phase of construction: • only well-maintained plant shall be operated on-site and plant shall be serviced regularly during the construction works; • machines and plant that may be in intermittent use shall be shut down between work periods or shall be throttled down to a minimum; • plant known to emit noise strongly in one direction, shall, where possible, be orientated to direct noise away from nearby NSRs; • mobile plant shall be sited as far away from NSRs as possible; and • material stockpiles and other structures shall be effectively utilised, where practicable, to screen noise from on-site construction activities.
Noise Mitigation Measures. The Owner of any Phase VI Residential Unit with any Phase VI Noise Mitigation Measures serving or belonging to his Phase VI Residential Unit exclusively shall at his own cost and expense keep and maintain such Phase VI Noise Mitigation Measures in good repair and substantial repair and condition and if any repair or replacement of such Phase VI Noise Mitigation Measures are required, the design, specification and use of materials thereof shall comply with the design and specification approved by the Director of Environmental Protection and shall also be subject to such guidelines and/or specifications and/or prescribed design as may be adopted or issued by the Manager from time to time.
Noise Mitigation Measures. The noise standards and possible mitigation measures are set forth in Section A.7 of Appendix C.
