Non-Child-Bearing Parent Leave. A regular full-time employee who is the natural, non-child-bearing parent is entitled to five (5) days of paid leave associated with the birth of their child. Such leave will normally be taken within thirty (30) days of the birth.

  • Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.

  • Child Rearing Leave 7.9.1 A permanent employee, who is the natural or adoptive parent of a child, shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for the purpose of rearing his/her child for a specified period immediately after convalescence from maternity or immediately after completion of appropriate adoption papers.
