Eligibility for Paid Parental Leave. (a) Natural parent or the adoptive parent having primary care of the child or children, who are regular full-time University employees will be eligible to receive seventeen (17) weeks of normally continuous paid parental leave, including the date of birth or adoption, per pregnancy or placement.
(b) The employee shall give at least two (2) weeks written notice to their supervisor of the intent to commence paid parental leave.
(c) Employee must apply for benefits before supplementary income from the University becomes payable. To be eligible for paid parental leave, employees must provide appropriate documentation of the birth or adoption of a child and of the receipt of Employment Insurance (E.I.) maternity or adoption leave benefits to Human Resources. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving E.I. maternity or adoption leave benefits is not eligible to receive supplementary benefits from the University. Exceptions to this rule will be made for those employees who are denied E.I. maternity or adoption leave benefits only because they have not completed the six hundred (600) hours of employment in the previous fifty-two (52) weeks, or since the employee’s last claim, required for E.I. benefit eligibility.

Eligibility for Paid Parental Leave. 3.1 In order to assist team members at this time, The Reject Shop will provide four weeks paid parental leave to the primary caregiver upon completion of at least 2 years continuous service with The Reject Shop.
3.2 The paid period of parental leave is then supplemented by the normal statutory provisions of further unpaid leave to a total combined maximum of 65 weeks parental leave.

An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving maternity or adoption benefits is not eligible to receive supplementary benefits from the University. Exceptions to this rule will be made for those employees who are denied maternity or adoption leave benefits only because they have not completed the twenty (20) weeks of employment required for benefit eligibility. Terms of Paid Parental Leave Eligible employees will receive of normal salary less applicable Unemployment Insurance maternity or adoption leave benefits for a maximum period of seventeen (17) weeks from the commencement of the leave. An employee who receives paid parental leave benefits must not receive other earnings or payments, such that the combined income (including U. I. maternity leave benefits, supplementary payments from the University and other earnings) exceeds of normal weekly earnings. No employee may claim any other form of supplementary benefit during the period of leave. The employee proceeding on paid parental leave shall not forfeit any accrued employment save for the right to accrue sick leave credits during the period of absence. Seniority shall continue to accrue for employees taking parental leave. on paid parental leave, the employee will continue to receive University benefits on a normal cost sharing arrangement. For the purposes of promotion, any period of paid parental leave shall be considered as a period of service with the University. An employee taking paid parental leave shall not be disadvantaged. They will return to the same or an equivalent position without loss of salary or seniority. Eligibility for Paid Parental Leave. (i) Employees who have at least one (1) years' continuous service with schools party to this Agreement prior to the time of commencement of the leave shall be entitled to paid parental leave. Fixed period employees who are eligible for parental leave will be entitled to either fourteen (14) weeks paid leave or, in the case where the remainder of the contract is less than fourteen (14) weeks, payment until the expiration of the contract;
(ii) Where the contract period of a fixed period employee ends during the period of parental leave, that employee will not be entitled to have this contract period extended, nor will they be guaranteed a position to return to following the completion of parental leave;
(iii) Where one of an employee couple is on parental leave and successfully applies for a subsequent period of parental leave, that employee, or the other member of the employee couple, will be not be entitled to a further fourteen (14) weeks paid parental leave;
(iv) Where either member of the employee couple is on an extended period of leave without pay, and that employee becomes pregnant, no entitlement to paid parental leave would apply.
Eligibility for Paid Parental Leave. Eligibility for Paid Parental Leave is limited to all permanent full-time and permanent part-time employees from all Australian domiciled Boral companies. To be eligible employees must also have at least twelve (12) months continuous permanent service.
Eligibility for Paid Parental Leave. For the purpose of this clause references to parental leave shall include maternity, paternity, adoption and permanent placed xxxxxx care provided that adoption and permanent placed xxxxxx care shall be read as meaning the placement of a child younger than school age. To qualify for paid parental leave an employee must at the expected date of delivery, adoption or placement of a child have worked as a part time or full time employee for twelve (12) continuous months with Vicdeaf. This is not required for subsequent periods of parental leave. Paid parental leave is in addition to annual leave and personal leave entitlements, but does not provide an additional entitlement to parental leave over and above the entitlement to unpaid parental leave.
