Requests to access PPL are made to the supervisor who, subject to operational requirements, will approve the request. Members paid for a thirty- seven and one-half (37.5) hour work week will receive twenty-two and one-half (22.5) hours of PPL per year, while those paid for a forty (40) hour work week will receive twenty-four (24) hours of PPL annually.
Paid Personal Leave (PPL. The Employer shall grant three (3) Paid Personal Leave (PPL) days per year, pro-rated for those hired after January 1st. Such leave is to provide for time off without loss of pay excluding premiums for extraordinary or unanticipated circumstances that may arise in an employee’s personal life. Paid Personal Leave does not accrue from one (1) calendar year to the next and may not be taken in increments of less than one (1) hour. The University reserves the right to request information that it reasonably requires to authorize or substantiate a leave. Paid Personal Leave is not permitted to be used to extend an employee’s vacation or on the day prior to or following a paid holiday.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Extended Personal Leave Personal leave without pay not to exceed thirty (30) 26 days may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent. Personal leave in 27 excess of thirty (30) days shall be subject to approval by the Board.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Amount of Paid Personal Leave (i) Paid personal leave is available to an employee, when they are absent:

  • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments. These leaves may be extended by the PVPAA upon recommendation of the xxxx for up to one (1) year.

  • Sick and Personal Leave The Assistant Principal shall annually be entitled to twelve (12) days of sick leave and two (2) days of personal leave. Unused personal leave days will accumulate as sick leave days. Earned sick leave may accumulate to a maximum of 340 days. Every sick day that is issued for the current school year and eventually not utilized during that school year will be multiplied by 1.5 at the end of the school year (e.g., 10 unused sick days on June 30, 2022 will be converted in a credit of 15 sick days for the Assistant Principal’s use.) This unused sick day multiplier will not be in effect during the four (4) years prior to retirement.
