Observations and Conferences - Tenure. The Teacher Professional Practice evaluation process will include a pre- conference meeting; at least one informal observation with a post conference meeting; and a formal observation for the length of a class period that is at least forty-five (45) minutes long, or a complete lesson, or the duration of an entire class period. Formal observations include both a pre- and post-observation conference. Teachers may request an additional informal observation, as needed. At the high school level, observations will not be conducted during the five days preceding the end of a semester. At all levels evaluations will not be conducted during the five days preceding the end of the school year, the day before the Thanksgiving break, the day before the winter break, and the day before the spring break. The draft of the summative evaluation shall be given to the teacher within twenty (20) school days following the last classroom observation.

  • Observation Conference 1. All formal observations shall be preceded by a conference between the evaluator and the teacher in order for the teacher to explain plans and objectives for the work situation to be observed.

  • Pre-Observation Conference The pre-observation conference shall be held prior to each formal observation. The teacher and evaluator will mutually agree when to conference. The purpose of the pre-observation conference is to discuss the employee’s goals, establish a date for the formal observation, and to discuss such matters as the professional activities to be observed, their content, objectives, strategies, and possible observable evidence to meet the scoring criteria.

  • Meetings and Conferences ‌ From time to time the Government may require attendance at Government conferences and meetings at no additional cost to the Government.

Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Pre-Job Conferences a) The Employer will notify the Union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference will be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in this Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties.

  • Informal Observations A. An informal observation is an observation that is not required to be pre-scheduled.
