Other Leave Requests. All faculty will discuss other leave situations in advance with their supervising administrator, who will adjust schedules in accordance with Article 5.3 of this agreement.

Other Leave Requests. Requests for leaves not included in the above, will be considered on the merits of the requests and the person making such requests. All requests for leave will be transmitted by the applicant to the building principal and will be forwarded by the building to the District Superintendent. The Board of Trustees is the final authority for granting or rejecting leave requests.
Other Leave Requests. All other leave requests not covered under the Family Medical Leave Act will be considered and granted on a case-by-case basis. Non-FMLA leaves of absence will not provide job protection and will be unpaid unless accrued sick, vacation, floating holiday and/or banked public holiday worked time is used. Any holiday occurring while an employee is on a non-FMLA leave of absence is forfeited and will not be paid. This type of requested leave will be subject to approval from the component Director/Vice President and Human Resources. Please contact Human Resources regarding non-FMLA leave requests. Definition of Key Terms “Rolling” 12 Month Period is a 12-month period measured backwards from the date an employee uses any FMLA leave. Under the “rolling” 12-month period, each time an employee takes FMLA leave the remaining leave entitlement would be the balance of the 12 weeks which has not been used during the immediately preceding 12 months.

  • Leave Requests All requests for leaves of absence must be in writing.

  • Leave Request 1. The employee will provide notice to the University that includes the anticipated dates of absence and the type of leave the employee wishes to use during the absence. When the request for leave is for medical reasons, the employee will also provide a doctor’s statement to the University.

  • EXTENDED LEAVES OF ABSENCE 1. Military leave without pay shall be granted to any employee who is inducted in any branch of the armed forces of the United States for the period of said service.

  • Other Leaves of Absence In the event that you are on a bona fide leave of absence, not otherwise described in this definition, from which you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, your Separation from Service has occurred on the first day on which your leave of absence period exceeds six months or, if earlier, upon your termination of employment (provided that such termination of employment constitutes a Separation from Service in accordance with the last sentence of the first paragraph of this definition).

  • Extended Leave of Absence 1. Upon written request of a bargaining unit member (Appendix C), the Board may grant a leave of absence without pay for a period of not more than two (2) consecutive school years for educational, professional, or other purposes. Application shall be no later than March 1.

  • Other Leave Granting of leave is a matter between the employees and the mill management. The Company will consider length of service and will endeavour to arrange leave of absence to suit the employee's wishes. Employees with ten or more years service will be given special consideration.

  • Other Leaves The parties agree that employees covered by this Memorandum of Understanding are subject to other County authorized leave provisions including but not limited to: military leave, disaster leave, leave for civil service examinations and leave for school or child day care program activities.   • Employee Requests To reduce the impact of a layoff, an employee may request a voluntary layoff, leave without pay, a reduction in compensation, reduction in hours of work, or movement to a funded, vacant exempt position for which the employee is qualified. If it is necessary to limit the number of employees who are on unpaid leave at the same time, the President, reporting Vice President, or designee, in consultation with the Associate Vice President for Human Resource Services and/or designee, will determine who will be granted a leave without pay and/or reduction in hours based upon business and staffing needs. The decision regarding whether to move an employee to a vacant exempt position is discretionary with the College.

  • Service Requests Any requests by a Party to the other Party regarding the Services or any modification or alteration to the provision of the Services must be made by an Authorized Representative (it being understood that the receiving Party will not be obligated to agree to any modification or alteration requested thereby). Notwithstanding anything to the contrary hereunder, each Party may avail itself of the remedies set forth in Section 6.4 without fulfilling the notice requirements of this Section 2.3.
