Common use of Overtime for Part-Time Employees Clause in Contracts

Overtime for Part-Time Employees. (1) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is requested to work longer than his/her regularly scheduled work days, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the work day of a full-time employee. (2) A part-time employee working less than the normal days per week for a full-time employee, and who is requested to work other than his/her regularly scheduled work days, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked, up to and including the normal work days in the work week of a full-time employee. (3) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (1) and (2) above. (4) If a part-time employee works in excess of 7.5 hours on a stat holiday he/she will be paid the overtime rates set out in 22.04.
