Part Time Drivers. The District may retain part-time drivers consistent with the provisions of this Section. Part-time drivers will be regularly-scheduled to work four (4) hours or less per day and will be in addition to the current full-time and backup drivers. Part-time drivers will not be subject to the minimum hours specified for other classifications of bargaining unit employees and, other than prorated sick pay, will not be entitled to any of the benefits otherwise allowed for full-time, route, office, corner and/or backup drivers under the provisions of this Agreement (unless otherwise eligible for IMRF in keeping with the provisions of that program). Provided, however, that the District’s retention of part-time drivers shall not result in the layoff of full-time drivers.
