PATIENT CARE FUND. In recognition of Residents foregoing pay raises in a previous contract, the Department of Health Services, and Chief Executive Office will recommend to the Board of Supervisors that a fund, to be identified as the CIR Quality Patient Care Fund, be established within the Department of Health Services effective on the date of Board approval of this Agreement. The amount of the CIR Quality Patient Care Fund will be $ 2,222,500 each year for fiscal years 2021-2022 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025. The $2,222,500 will be appropriated by relative employee size of the institutions as follows: $1,210,000 for the use of LAC+USC Medical Center house staff; $990,000 for the use of Harbor/UCLA Medical Center house staff and $22,500 for the 15 residents/dental interns at the Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx and Rancho Los Amigos facilities. Sixty calendar days prior to the end of each fiscal year, CIR will provide the respective institution an accounting of any unused funds. Said unused funds will then be eligible to be rolled over into the next fiscal year. The total amount of rolled over funds in any given year will be limited to equal the amount of the initial fiscal year allocation (e.g., $1,210,000; $990,000; and/or $22,500). In the event more than 15 residents/dental interns are designated to the Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. and Rancho Los Amigos facilities, either party can request to meet to discuss providing additional funding to the Quality Patient Care Fund based upon the increased number in residents/dental interns at the Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. and Rancho Los Amigos facilities. This meeting shall take place within 30 business days. 323 This fund shall be inviolate and free from assessments, freezes, impounds or deferrals, and may be used only for improved quality of patient care. The Director of the Department of Health Services shall have direct control of the fund. During the term of this Memorandum of Understanding, all of the committees provided in 2 and 3 below shall meet as a "Steering Committee" and by mutual agreement allocate funds to the institutional level, taking cognizance of all recommendations. Funds allocated to the institutional level will be administered as follows:
PATIENT CARE FUND. There shall be established an annual Patient Care Fund whose purpose is to provide for the purchase of equipment, supplies, educational materials and other items deemed to be of benefit to patients at Boston Medical Center and its affiliated health centers. The Fund shall be administered by a representative group of House Officers, all members of the Committee of Interns and Residents/SEIU. The Fund shall be set at $35,000 annually. All expenditures must be approved in advance by the Director of GME or his/her designee. All purchases shall be subject to the Hospital’s purchasing and procurement policies and procedures.

The $2,200,000 will be appropriated by relative employee size of the two institutions as follows: $1,210,000 for the use of LAC+USC Medical Center house staff; and $990,000 for the use of Harbor/UCLA Medical Center house staff. All funds must be spent in the fiscal year of allocation. In the event the Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. facility becomes a teaching institution for County interns and residents, the parties will meet to discuss a reconfiguration of the $2,200,000 appropriation of the Quality Patient Care Fund to include the Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx. facility. This fund shall be inviolate and free from assessments, freezes, impounds or deferrals, and may be used only for improved quality of patient care. PATIENT CARE FUND. A. CIR will identify two (2) peer selected or elected HSOs who shall be entitled to serve as voting members of UNM Hospital’s Quality Outcomes Committee and Quality Implementation Committee. CIR will provide names of the selected Resident representatives to each committee and GME in writing each year.
PATIENT CARE FUND. 1. Effective November 1, 2019, the Hospital agrees to provide three annual installments (covering November 1 2019-October 31 2020, November 1 2020-October 31 2021, and November 1 2021-October 31 2022) of $75,000 towards the Patient Care Fund. The money delegated to the Patient Care Fund may be transferable to Quality Improvement Initiatives if agreed upon by both parties (i.e. House Staff Officers and the Administration agree that it would be a productive delegate $10,000 of Patient Care Fund money to be transferred to expand the House Staff Incentive Program).
PATIENT CARE FUND. 1. The Hospital agrees to provide two annual installments (covering the 2020 to 2021, and 2021 to 2022 academic years) of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) towards the Patient Care Fund.
PATIENT CARE FUND. Effective July 6, 2003 there will be a Patient Care Fund established in the amount of $25,000 and it will be funded each academic year thereafter with an additional $25,000. Any unused funds will rollover to the next academic year. The purpose of this fund is to provide for medical equipment, patient materials, educational supplies, etc. necessary to improve patient care. The Patient Care Fund committee shall be composed of three (3) union representatives designated by CIR and three
PATIENT CARE FUND. There shall be established an annual Patient Care Fund in the amount of $45,000 annually. Four percent of this Fund shall be paid annually to the Union to offset the cost of administration. This fund shall be administered by House Officers from each PGY level, elected by all members of the Committee of Interns and Residents/SEIU. The purpose of this fund is to provide for the purchase of equipment, services, or renovations which are deemed important by the Patient Care Fund Committee to improve the provisions of patient care directly. The Committee shall meet at least five (5) times a year and shall make funding decisions by a majority vote. Reports of the Committee's final decisions will be forwarded to the Department Chiefs and Chief Executive Officer or his designee for their information. Purchases shall proceed through usual Cambridge Public Health Commission bidding procedures.
