PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES. Employees who have successfully completed their probationary periods shall be eligible for release from work for travel and conference and also shall be eligible for release from work for a maximum of three (3) hours per week for enrollment in classes for personal and professional growth, for cross-training opportunities in other campus-based units, or for participation in individual fitness programs on or off campus. Participants must complete the Classified Employee Staff Development Request form (see Appendix C) and account for each class or program attended. Opportunities for cross-training shall be developed in consultation with both the employee's regular supervisor and the hosting supervisor.

  • Professional Growth Professional growth is the continuous purposeful engagement in study and related activities designed to retain and extend the high standards of classified unit members.

  • Professional Growth Plan A written plan, self-directed or jointly developed between the teacher and evaluator, designed for the sole purpose of continuing teacher growth focused on areas identified in the teacher’s observations and/or evaluation. The approved form for the Professional Growth Plan is found at Ohio ES.

  • Teacher Professional Growth Plan 9.1.1 Teacher Professional Growth Plans will consider but will not be required to include the School Division’s goals.

  • Professional Growth and Improvement Plans A. Professional growth and improvement plans shall be developed as follows:

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.

Professional Growth is an organized activity designed to improve performance of employees in the classified service and to provide training for employees to gain new skills and abilities, to broaden their opportunity for promotion, to engage in study and related activities designed to retain and extend the high standards of the classified employee.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • PERSONAL AND ACADEMIC FREEDOM A. The personal life of a teacher is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the Board except as it may directly affect the efficient performance of assigned functions during the workday.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.
