PERSONAL/XXXXX’S LEAVE AND COMPASSIONATE LEAVE. (a) Definition of personal/xxxxx’s leave (i) Personal/xxxxx’s leave is: (a) Paid leave taken by an employee because of a personal illness or injury of the employee (“sick leave”); or (b) Paid or unpaid leave (“carer’s leave”) taken by an employee to provide care or support to a member of the employee’s immediate family or household, who requires care and support because of a personal illness or injury; or an unexpected emergency.
