PREMIUM PAY HOLIDAYS. Overtime (Time-and‐a-Half) Pay for Recognized Holidays: Employees who are assigned on an hourly basis to work on Holidays listed in 16.1 shall receive their regular rate of pay calculated at overtime pay rate of time-and‐a‐half regular pay (1.5X) for hours worked on those days. Open Holiday Pay Shifts Should a regularly assigned employee be requested to work on one of the premium pay holidays listed above and decline that assignment, the Employer shall offer the hours to the most senior qualified employee provided that a client’s specific care needs and preferences are being met.

PREMIUM PAY HOLIDAYS. 16.2.1 Rate‌ Employees who are assigned to work on one of the holidays (a-f) marked with * above shall be paid one and one-half times (1.5X) their regular rate of pay for all hours worked on the holidays designated with an *. If an employee is not assigned to work and does not work on the holiday, she/he shall not be paid the holiday premium pay. Employees who do not work on one of the holidays (a-f) above shall be allowed to use any accrued leave up to eight (8) hours upon request.
PREMIUM PAY HOLIDAYS. Premium paydays are New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. For purposes of premium pay, the time period from 3:00 p.m. December 24 to 11:00 pm December 25 shall be recognized as Christmas. Holiday work shall be equitably rotated by the Employer. Where PTO conflicts with the rotation of holidays, individual rotation of holidays shall take precedence. Holidays shall be observed on the day on which they fall.

Open holiday premium pay shifts Should a regularly assigned employee be requested to work on one of the premium pay holidays listed above (a-f), and decline that assignment, the Employer shall offer the hours to the most senior qualified employee who volunteers for the hours. Unpaid Leave Days recognized as a Day for Personal or Religious Observance Employees desiring to take off any of the days listed below shall notify the Employer of their desire to take an unpaid day off two (2) weeks prior to the date. Employees may designate another “personal holiday” referenced in 18.2 as a special day for religious observance or other celebration (for example, such as Rosh Hashanah, Good Friday, the beginning/end of Ramadan, Orthodox Christmas, etc.). As long as the Employer has been given two weeks’ notice, all such requests for one additional unpaid personal holiday a year shall be granted. If an employee from this faith tradition works on any of these recognized observance days, below, s/he shall not be eligible for holiday premium pay.   • Paid Holiday Pay Payment for holidays will be made at an employee’s basic pay, except if an employee has been working in a higher paid position than her regular position for a majority of the sixty (60) working days preceding her holiday, in which case she shall receive the higher pay.

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above described holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus two (2) times their base rate for all hours worked on such holidays.
