Program Closure. In the event the Program is closed or there is a reduction in the total number of Residents in the Program, the Hospital will use its best efforts to allow Resident to complete the Program at the Hospital. In the event that continuation of the Program is untenable by the Hospital, the Hospital will utilize its best efforts to transfer Resident to a comparable residency program.

The University will provide notice to the Union and affected resident consistent with the notification referenced in the ACGME guidelines.
