Purpose and Functions. The Bank shall mobilize resources for infrastructure and sustainable development projects in BRICS and other emerging economies and developing countries, complementing the existing efforts of multilateral and regional financial institutions for global growth and development. To fulfill its purpose, the Bank shall support public or private projects through loans, guarantees, equity participation and other financial instruments. It shall also cooperate with international organizations and other financial entities, and provide technical assistance for projects to be supported by the Bank.
Purpose and Functions. 1. The purpose of the Organization shall be to provide information, scientific and related services in agriculture and allied sciences on a world-wide basis.
2. Without prejudice to the generality of paragraph 1 of this Article, the Organization shall have the following functions:
a) to collect and collate information and to disseminate it through journals and other media;
b) to provide identification, taxonomic and biological control services;
c) to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information between research workers in agriculture and related disciplines;
d) to undertake training activities;
e) to co-operate with other international organizations, as well as other international and national entities whether public or private, in the provision of its services; and
f) to undertake such other activities and provide such other services as may advance its purpose.
Purpose and Functions. Paragraph 1 sets out the purpose of the Bank to mobilise resources for infrastructure and sustainable development projects in BRICS and other emerging market economies and developing countries; working in cooperation with other institutions which aim to reach the same or similar outcomes. Paragraph 2 set out the instruments that the Bank shall employ in order to fulfil its purpose; including, public private projects through loans, guarantees, equity participation etc. Additionally the Bank shall provide Technical Assistance to projects to be supported by the Bank.

Purpose and Functions. The purpose of the Authority shall be to perform the following duties:
a. Assess and reduce the flood risks in the watershed;
b. Assess and improve water quality in the watershed;
c. Monitor the federal flood risk planning and activities;
d. Educate residents of the watershed regarding flood risks and water quality; and
e. Allocate moneys made available for purposes of water quality and flood mitigation. *The Authority may make and enter into contracts and agreements and execute instruments necessary or incidental to the performance of the duties of the Authority but shall not under any circumstances acquire property by eminent domain.
Purpose and Functions. 1. To ensure the attainment of the purpose for this Agreement as stated below, Participating States and the Bank agree;
(i) To cooperate with, support and provide assistance of all types and nature to enable the promotion and financing of South-South trade between African countries and Member States of the Caribbean Community;
(ii) To promote, to the extent permissible under the Establishment Agreement, the financing by the Bank of exports and imports of non-traditional African goods and services and goods and services of Member States of the Caribbean Community in any appropriate form, through extending direct or indirect credit to eligible businesses in Participating States.
2. To collaborate, support and promote the work of the Bank in acting as an intermediary between African exporters and importers and exporters and importers
(i) of Member States of the Caribbean Community through the issuance of letters of credit, guarantee and other trade documents in support of export-import transactions;
(ii) to support the promotion and provision of insurance and guarantee services covering commercial and non-commercial risks associated with African exports and exports of Member States of the Caribbean Community;
(iii) to provide support to payment arrangements aimed at expanding the international trade of African States and Member States of the Caribbean Community;
(iv) to facilitate the carrying out of market research and the provision of any auxiliary services aimed at expanding the international trade of African countries and Member States of the Caribbean Community and to promote and provide insurance and guarantee services covering commercial and non-commercial risks associated with African exports and exports of Member States of the Caribbean Community;
(v) to facilitate and support the carrying on of banking operations and the borrowing of funds; and
(vi) to facilitate and support the performance of such acts and do such things as shall be required, desirable, incidental or conducive to the attainment of the foregoing purpose and functions.
Purpose and Functions. 1. The purpose of GDN is to support high-quality, policy-oriented research in the social sciences in order to promote development. To this end, GDN will xxxxxx collaborative efforts among socio-economic research institutions, individual researchers, policy-makers and donors that encourage capacity-building and networking, predicated on the belief that high-quality, policy-oriented research accelerates development.
2. In furtherance of the purpose stated in paragraph 1 of this Article, the functions of GDN shall include capacity-building, networking, mobilizing funds and facilitating donor coordination, encouraging knowledge-sharing, offering quality certification, and conducting needs analysis and program evaluation.
3. GDN shall be guided in all its activities and decisions by the provisions of this Agreement and the following principles of governance: Independence: GDN shall not be influenced in any of its activities and decisions by political considerations. Openness: GDN shall operate in a transparent manner and be receptive to the views of its constituency.
Purpose and Functions. 1. The purpose for which the Bank shall be established is to facilitate, promote and expand intra-African and extra-African trade.
2. To serve its purpose, the Bank shall in accordance with the Charter, as amended from time to time, carry out the following functions:

(2) The Foundation shall perform such other functions and have such powers as the Council may entrust to it.
Purpose and Functions. (a) The purpose of this Agreement is to jointly undertake the economic development project described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, with the Town pursuant to Ind. Code § 36-7-25-1 et seq. (the “Joint Project”) and allow the County to pledge property tax proceeds that would be allocated to the DCRC’s applicable allocation fund to the YRC for the purpose of carrying out the Joint Project.
(b) The Joint Project shall be completed on property owned by the Town or YRC that is in, or adjacent to, the YRC’s Downtown Allocation Area and shall be carried out according to the financial parameters described in Exhibit B, attached hereto.
