Purpose of Data Sharing. 5.1 The purpose of the data sharing covered by this agreement is to enable:  MHCLG’s contractors to select a sample of individuals to be part of the research  MHCLG’s contractors to contact these individuals and invite them to participate in the research  MHCLG’s contractors to re-contact individuals who have completed initial interviews for this research  the research to include some evidence on accommodation outcomes even when participants cannot be contacted for follow up interviews (unless they have stated they do not want to take part)  questionnaire responses to be linked to administrative data collected as part of the Homelessness Data England project, to allow the research to cover a broader range of outcomes (where individuals have given their consent for this).  MHCLG to link together individuals’ questionnaire responses where they have already completed a questionnaire in 2019/early 2020 and agreed to further interviews for the purpose of ‘understanding how well services are working’.

The sharing of student information and records will allow the Parties and their partners to reach collective goals. Appendix C provides example Written Consent forms.

Each Trust/NHS organisation is responsible to manage any research appropriately, and should follow their own professional body recommendations, together with their organisations internal policies and procedures, Patients and service user information collected during the course of their care and treatment, further used to support research and improve care for others, almost always must be anonymised or coded (pseudonymised) so these individuals cannot be identified. All Trusts/NHS organisations who have access to data through the Integrated Care System (ICS) workstreams, must not further process this data for research or any other purposes which are not set out in the respective Tier Two Data Sharing Agreement.
