Purposes of Collection. The personal data provided by Client to GNS and in any documentation which comes into existence as a result of Client’s opening or maintaining of the Account with GNS, will be used by GNS for the following purposes:-
(a) activities relating to processing Client’s application to open and maintain the Account, including but not limited to conducting credit reporting through credit report agencies both in Hong Kong and overseas, or processing of Client’s application for grant of credit or margin facilities by GNS or maintaining and review of such credit or margin facilities (if applicable);
(b) activities relating to purchasing, selling, investing, exchanging, acquiring, holding, disposing of and generally dealing in and with all kinds of securities on behalf of Client;
(c) maintenance of particulars and data in compliance with the statutes and subsidiary legislation which are enacted and effective in Hong Kong relating to securities business and transactions and also in compliance with the codes of SFC, the rules and regulations of the Exchange and HKSCC.

1.1 The personal data provided by Client to the Company and in any documentation which comes into existence as a result of (i) Client's opening or maintenance of the Account with the Company or (ii) Client seeking investment advice from the Company, will be used by the Company for the following purposes:- 客戶因(i)在本公司開設或持續操作帳戶和(ii)向本公司徵求投資建議而向本公司及在任何文件所提供的個人資料將被本公司作為下列用途：-
(a) conducting credit review through credit report agencies both in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“HKSAR”) and overseas, processing of Client's application for grant of credit or margin facilities by the Company or the maintenance and the review of such credit or margin facilities (if applicable); 透過本港及海外的信貸報告中介進行信貸審查、處理客戶向本公司申請給予信貸或「孖展」或持續操作及審查該等信貸或「孖展」的安排（如適用）；
(b) activities relating to purchasing, selling, investing, exchanging, acquiring, holding, disposing of and generally dealing in and with all kinds of securities on behalf of Client;代客戶購買、出售、投資、交易、收購、保管、處置及辦理與各種證券有關的事務；
(c) maintenance of particulars and data in compliance with the statutes and subsidiary legislation which are enacted and effective in HKSAR relating to securities business and transactions and also in compliance with the codes of the Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”), the rules and regulations of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Exchange") and Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited ("the Clearing House"); and 保存有關資料以符合本港所制訂和有效的有關證券交易的條例及附屬規例和符合證券及期貨事務監察委員會〈“證監會”〉的守則，以及符合香港聯合交易所有限公司〈“聯交所”〉、香港中央結算有限公司〈“中央結算”〉的規則及規例；及

The Company may use your personal data (whether provided by you or any other person, and whether provided before or after the date you receive this document) for the following purposes: (a) activities relating to operating your account such as purchasing, investing, advising, exchanging, acquiring, disposing of and generally dealing in and with all kinds of securities and options on your behalf, carrying out transactions at your instructions, ongoing account administration and contacting you; (b) activities relating to the processing of your application to open an account with the Company and maintaining your account, including but not limited to client verification, anti-money laundering and other client due diligence procedures, conducting credit reporting, processing your application for grant of credit or margin facilities or the continuation and review of such credit or margin facilities; (c) maintenance and verification of particulars and data; (d) any other purpose relating to the provision of investment and/or other financial services and facilities by the Company and/or any holding company, subsidiary or affiliate (within or outside Hong Kong)(the “Group”); (e) to provide you with information about your account and account statements; the
(f) to conduct research and statistical analysis; and (g) complying with the obligations, requirements or arrangements, whether voluntary or mandatory, for disclosing and using data, including notification requirements that apply to the Company or any member of the Group, according to any law binding or applying to them within or outside Hong Kong or pursuant to any treaty or undertaking between any governmental, regulatory, tax, law enforcement or other authorities within or outside Hong Kong, and in particular the reporting and exchange of information requirements pursuant to the United States Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (“FATCA”) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (“OECD”)’s standard for Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (“AEOI”).

1.1 opening, management and continuous operation of Client’s account; 開立、管理及延續客戶之帳戶；
1.2 buying, selling, investing, conducting transactions, providing custody, handling and processing of precious metals trading on behalf of Client; 代為購買、出售、投資、交易、保管、處置及辦理貴金屬的交易；
1.3 ensuring Client's ongoing credit worthiness; 確保客戶的信譽維持良好；
1.4 designing financial services or related products for Client; 為客戶設計金融服務或相關產品；
1.5 collecting of amounts outstanding from Client or any guarantors; 向客戶及對客戶之對客戶擔保人士追收欠款；
1.6 enforcing disclosure of information requirements in compliance with application laws, regulations or rules; 根據集團任何成員須遵守之法例、法規或規則作出披露；
1.7 maintaining Client’s credit history for present or future reference; 維持客戶的信貸紀錄供現時或將來參考之用；
1.8 direct marketing and/or cross-selling of the financial and investment products and services provided by the Company and/or any of companies in the Group as stated under Paragraph 3 hereinbelow; and/or 在以下第3段所述的直接促銷及／或交叉銷售本公司及／或其他任何本集團的聯繫公司的財務、投資產品及服務及／或
1.9 any other additional and related purposes. 其他附帶及相關的目的。
Purposes of Collection. The personal data will be used by GHF HK or its Group for the following purposes:
(a) activities relating to the processing of your application to open an account with GHF HK or its Group, the maintaining of your account and operating your account in accordance with the terms of this Agreement;
(b) communicating with you in relation to your account, investment and related matters;
(c) maintenance and verification of particulars and data, including the investor registers, and related checks including ascertaining whether you are a “professional investor” under the SFO (as amended from time to time);
(d) collection of fees and charges;
(e) any purpose relating to or in connection with compliance with any applicable law, regulations, court orders or request of a regulatory or governmental body; and
(f) any other incidental and associated purpose relating to or in connection with the business or dealings of GHF HK or its Group.

(c) designing further products and services or marketing a Group product to the client; 設計更多產品和服務或向客戶推銷集團的產品；

(e) comparison with the Customer's personal data (irrespective of the purposes and sources for which such data were collected, and whether collected by a User or any other person) for the purpose of: 與客戶的個人等資料作出比較(而無須考慮資料來源及收集資料的目的，亦無須考慮該資料是否 從資料使用者或其他人士中取得)以便:
i) credit checking; 信貸查核；

Purposes of Collection. The personal data provided by the Client to CHKLS and in any documentation which comes into existence as a result of the Client’s opening or maintaining of the Account with CHKLS will be used by CHKLS for the following purposes:-
1.1 activities relating to the processing of Client’s application to open and maintain the Account, including but not limited to obtaining credit reports through credit report agencies both in the Hong Kong and overseas, or the processing of the Client’s application for grant of credit or margin facilities by CHKLS or the maintaining and the review of such credit or margin facilities (if applicable);
1.2 activities relating to purchasing, selling, investing, exchanging, acquiring, holding, disposing of and generally dealing in and with all kinds of Securities on behalf of the Client;
1.3 maintenance of particulars and data in compliance with the ordinances and subsidiary legislation which are enacted and effective in Hong Kong relating to Securities business and transactions, the codes of the SFC, the rules and regulations of the Exchange and the Clearing House; and provision of Client’s personal data as required by law or to SFC, the Exchange, the Clearing House or any other governmental or regulatory authorities upon request whether such request is enforceable in law; and

(b) activities relating to purchasing, selling, investing, exchanging, acquiring, holding, disposing of and generally dealing in and with all kinds of securities on behalf of client; and 代購買、出售、投資、交易、收購、保管、處置及辦理各種與證券等有關事宜; 及
(c) maintenance of particulars and data in compliance with the statutes and subsidiary legislation which are enacted and effective in HKSAR relating to securities business and transactions and also in compliance with the codes of the SFC, the rules and regulations of the Exchange and the Clearing House. 保存有關資料, 以符合本港所制訂有關證券交易的條例及附屬規例、證監會的守則及聯交所及中央結算的規則及規例。
