Rate of Pay Upon Promotion. The rate of compensation of a person upon promotion to a position in a higher pay range shall be at the next higher rate or the minimum of the new position, whichever is greater, than that received by the employee before the promotion. The rate of compensation of an employee upon promotion to a position may be at a rate higher than prescribed if, in the opinion of the Employer, such higher rate is necessary to effect the promotion of a qualified person to the position or if the person to be promoted to the position has qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements of the position.

Rate of Pay Upon Promotion. An employee who is promoted shall be given an immediate increase to the new salary range, which increase shall be no less than four percent (4%). The employee's salary eligibility date shall be the first of the month following the six (6)-month promotional trial service period in the higher classification, and annually thereafter.

Rate of Pay Upon Promotion. A worker who is promoted shall be given an immediate increase to at least the next higher rate in the new salary range. The worker will serve a trial service period as stated in Article 34 - Trial Service, Section 3. When given such an increase at the time of promotion, the worker does not retain the old eligibility date. Upon satisfactory completion of trial service, the worker shall receive a step increase and that date shall serve as the subsequent anniversary date for the worker's annual merit increase.
