Re-Training Fund. A re-training fund will be established to facilitate access to re- training for a job in areas of need in the Community Subsector. • Re-training or other mitigation options (ERIP/VDP/Enhanced Severance as referenced in Section 5.1 of the Settlement Agreement) for employees laid off due to contracting out in the future – funding amounts to be determined. • Individuals previously laid off due to contracting out – funding amounts to be determined. Individuals previously laid off due to contracting out who are interested in re-training must receive an allocation from the re-training fund by December 31, 2008. After that date, remaining funds shall be made available to all employees to be re-trained in areas of need in accordance with the terms determined by the joint committee. Individuals previously laid off due to contracting out who are re-trained and who are not already in the Health Sector and who apply for a regular on-going vacancy with any Health Sector Employer are considered an external applicant under Article 12.3 of the Community Subsector Collective Agreement.
Re-Training Fund. The Employer agrees, that commencing February 1, 2009, to contribute one (1) cent per hour worked per employee covered by the bargaining unit into the UNITE HERE Local 75, Equal Opportunity Training Fund. No. 10: Re: Work Already Contracted Out: The parties agree that during the life of the Collective Agreement they will meed to discuss work that had been previously performed by bargaining unit employees and the possibility of bringing this work back in house.

  • Training Fund Employers and/or individuals who manage, operate, assist or own, either partially or wholly, a company or companies working non-union in the construction industry on Mainland Nova Scotia within the craft jurisdiction of xxx Xxxxxxxxxx Local 83 shall not be eligible to be appointed to serve, or to continue to serve, as trustees on any trust fund referred to within this Collective Agreement.   • Union Training Conditional upon prior approval of the course content and upon receipt of certification of completion, if the employee is an elected official or xxxxxxx of the Union, the City shall reimburse the employee for up to one-half of his or her regular work time spent in such training at the employee's permanent rate of pay, not to exceed twenty (20) hours of paid leave in a calendar year.

  • Annual Training The Governing Board shall receive initial training and annual training thereafter. Pursuant to O.C.G.A §20-2-2072 and relevant State Board rules, the training shall include, but not be limited to, best practices on school governance, the constitutional and statutory requirements relating to public records and meetings, and the requirements of applicable statutes and rules and regulations.

  • Funding for Training (a) In furtherance of the objectives of clause 31 hereof, and as a further initiative to enhance the employment and career opportunities of the Employees, the Parties will continue to facilitate on-going training to improve occupational health & safety in the industry and to improve employees work skills so as to advance progression to higher industry skill levels.

  • INSERVICE TRAINING 633. The City agrees to institute inservice training for represented employees by mutual agreement. Training may include, but is not limited to, instruction that will qualify for required CE credits, certificate and license requirements as required for continued employment in the employee's current classification. Required attendance shall be considered a duty assignment for purposes of payment of salary.
