(b) On commencing employment, the employee’s immediate supervisor shall inform the new employee of the name and telephone number of the employee’s Union xxxxxxx(s) or representative(s). The Employer shall inform the employee regarding electronic access to a copy of the agreement as set out in Article 9.01.

(e) When a Xxxxxxx is required to attend a formal grievance meeting during non- working hours, they shall receive paid time off in lieu on an hour-for-hour basis at a time mutually agreed between the Employer and the Employee.

(a) Bargaining Unit representatives may be entitled to leave their work during working hours in order to carry out their functions under this Agreement which are limited to the processing of complaints or grievances. Permission to leave work during working hours for such purposes must be obtained from the supervisor or Executive Director.
(b) When a Xxxxxxx is required to attend a formal grievance meeting during non-working hours, they shall receive time off in lieu on an hour-for-hour basis at a time mutually agreed between the Employer and the employee. The time must be taken within two (2) weeks of the formal grievance meeting and must be at a time when the supervisor or Executive Director determines that there will be no cost to the Employer in terms of requiring the use of replacement personnel.

(d) The Employer agrees that a union xxxxxxx will be given the opportunity to meet with each new employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for a maximum of thirty (30) minutes sometime within the first fifteen

A xxxxxxx, or alternate, shall obtain the permission of the Human Resources supervisor or designate before leaving work to perform xxxxxxx duties. There will be not less than 1 xxxxxxx representing the HSWs from each of the Town of Yarmouth, Municipality of the District of Yarmouth, and the Municipality of the District of Argyle. Leave for this purpose shall be with pay and shall not be unreasonably withheld. On resuming normal duties, the xxxxxxx shall notify the Human Resources supervisor or designate.
