If the work includes any changes or corrections from the documents provided by the Engineer, the Contractor shall create and maintain revised record drawings reflecting such changes or corrections. The Contractor’s attention is particularly directed to the necessity of keeping accurate records of all subsurface and concealed work so that the record drawings may contain this information in exact detail and location.

Where signs are installed, the City may accept at its discretion a tabulation showing the location and type of mounting of each sign. Record drawings shall preferably be the same size as the Contract Drawings. The Contractor may avail itself of the opportunity of securing at its own expense a set of photographic reproductions made from the tracings of the Contract Drawings. In the event that NYCDOT determines, in its sole discretion, that the Contractor does not have the capacity to perform the Work during the Term of the Contract or otherwise refuses or fails to duly perform said work, then NYCDOT may have the Work performed by another contractor. The Contractor's attention is particularly directed to the necessity of keeping accurate records of all subsurface and concealed Work so that the record drawings may contain this information in exact detail and location.

The Contractor may avail itself of the opportunity of securing at its own expense a set of photographic reproductions on cloth made from the tracings of the Contract Drawings, upon which it shall indicate all changes and corrections occurring in the work as actually completed, supplemented by such other drawings made with ink on tracing cloth as may by necessary to indicate all work and locations thereof in detail as actually completed. The Contractor must utilize GPS technology (see 4.18 GPS SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS), to be provided by the Contractor at its sole cost and expense, to plot the locations of street light poles whose luminaires have been changed to LED street light luminaires under this Contract. Each location where a new luminaire is installed will be recorded by three items: the GPS coordinates, street light directional, and, if any, the pole tag number. Payment will not be made for any location not entered in the GPS system. The Work will be done in linear directions along arteries unless otherwise directed by the NYCDOT Electrical Inspection Unit. The Contractor shall furnish to the NYCDOT Electrical Inspection Unit within 30 consecutive calendar days after completion of the Work at each location, subject to the NYCDOT Electrical Inspection Unit’s approval, an invoice report and supporting database file, in the format specified by the NYCDOT, detailing the following information for each location:
