Redundancy Procedures. New and/or vacant positions of responsibility shall be advertised on the Board website. The filling of a vacant position of responsibility cannot result in a school becoming over- staffed. In no case will public advertising occur prior to internal advertising.

Redundancy Procedures. The following procedures shall be followed by the parties in the event of a redundance of teachers: (a) teachers notified of the termination of their contract of employment because of redundancy, at the option of OTTAS, may be accommodated by: (i) being offered alternative employment with OTTAS, or (ii) entering into any other agreement mutually acceptable to XXXXX and the teacher. (b) only when the above options (i) and (ii) have been thoroughly considered by XXXXX shall a teacher on first day of school year have her or his contract of employment terminated because of redundancy, and that teacher shall then be entitled to separation pay and a right of recall as specified below.

Redundancy Procedures. (a) Where a redundancy dispute arises, if it has not already done so, the Employer will provide the affected Employee(s) and the Employee's representative (if requested by any affected Employee) in good time, with relevant information: (i) the reasons for any proposed redundancy; (ii) the number and categories of Employees likely to be affected; and (iii) the period over which any proposed redundancies are intended to be undertaken. (b) Where a redundancy dispute arises and discussions occur in accordance with this clause, the Employer will, as early as possible, consult on measures taken to avert or to minimise any proposed redundancies and measures to mitigate the adverse affects of any proposed redundancies on the Employees concerned.
Redundancy Procedures. 32.1 Application of this Clause This Clause shall: (a) apply to academic and professional Employees in continuing positions who are covered by this Agreement; (b) not apply to casual Employees, Employees employed on fixed-term contracts in accordance with this Agreement, or on Senior Staff Performance Based Contracts; and (c) not detract from the obligations of the University to consult pursuant to Clause 9 (Managing Change) of this Agreement. (d) allow Employees to be assisted by a Representative. 32.2 The University will endeavour to redeploy Employees who are notified that their position has been declared redundant to a suitable vacant position.
Redundancy Procedures. 66.1 This clause does not detract from the obligations of the University to consult pursuant to clause 61 (Managing Change) of this Agreement. 66.2 Staff members may be assisted by a Representative at any stage throughout the procedures in this clause.
Redundancy Procedures. 71.1 This Clause shall: (a) apply to academic and general staff employees in continuing or ongoing positions who are covered by this Agreement; (b) not apply to casual employees, employees employed on fixed-term contracts of employment or Research Continuing employees; (c) not detract from the obligations of the University to consult pursuant to Clause 68 (Managing Change) of this Agreement; and (d) allow employees to be assisted by a Representative at every stage during the procedures set out in this Clause. After an initial eight (8) week transition period, in which the employee may seek redeployment, provision is made for an enhanced level of payout to the employee based on age and length of service. 71.2 Nothing in this Clause will prevent the University from pursuing redeployment options to mitigate the effects of redundancies. Should a suitable position be found for an affected employee, the employee will be placed into the position and further redundancy action will cease in respect of the employee.
