Regional integration. 1. The Parties shall promote to the fullest extent possible regional integration in the field of customs and shall work on the development of regional customs legislation, procedures and requirements, in line with the relevant international standards. 2. The Special Committee on Customs Cooperation and Trade Facilitation provided for in Article 36 shall carry out an ongoing monitoring of the implementation of the provisions of this Article.
Regional integrationThe Parties recognise that the integration of the agricultural, food and fisheries sectors across CARIFORUM States, through the progressive removal of remaining barriers and the provision of an appropriate regulatory framework, will contribute to the deepening of the regional integration process and the realisation of the objectives of this Chapter.
Regional integration. 1. The Parties recognise the importance of regional integration in furthering the economic and social development of the signatory Andean Countries and of the European Union, enabling to strengthen the relations between the Parties and to contribute to the objectives of this Agreement. 2. The Parties recognise and reaffirm the importance of the respective regional integration processes between the Member States of the European Union and between the Andean Community Member Countries as a mechanism to achieve greater trade opportunities and xxxxxx their effective integration into the global economy. 3. The Parties recognise that progress in Andean regional integration will be determined by the Andean Community Member Countries. 4. The Parties recognise that the signatory Andean Countries must preserve the Andean Legal System in the relations between them, in accordance with Decision 598 of the Andean Community. 5. Having regard to the aspiration of the Parties of achieving an association between the two regions, when all the Andean Community Member Countries become Parties to this Agreement, the Trade Committee will re-examine the relevant provisions, particularly this Article and Article 105, with a view to adapting them to the new situation and supporting regional integration processes.
Regional integration. 1. The Central Africa Party undertakes to harmonise the standards and other measures within the scope of this Chapter at regional level within four years of this Agreement's entry into force. 2. With a view to facilitating trade between the Parties and in conformity with Article 40, the signatory Central African States agree on the need to harmonise import conditions applicable to products originating in the territory of the EC Party when these products enter a signatory Central African State. Where national import conditions already exist at the time of this Agreement's entry into force, and pending the introduction of harmonised import conditions, the existing import conditions shall be implemented by the signatory Central African States on the basis that a product from the EC Party legally placed on the market of a signatory Central African State may also be legally placed on the market of all other signatory Central African States without any further restriction or administrative requirement.
Regional integration. 1. The Parties recognise that regional integration is an integral element of their partnership and a powerful instrument to achieve the objectives of this Agreement. 2. The Parties recognise and reaffirm the importance of regional integration among the CARIFORUM States as a mechanism for enabling these States to achieve greater economic opportunities, and enhanced political stability and to xxxxxx their effective integration into the world economy. 3. The Parties acknowledge the efforts of the CARIFORUM States to xxxxxx regional and sub-regional integration amongst themselves through the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas establishing the Caribbean Community including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy, the Treaty of Basseterre establishing the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States and the Agreement establishing a Free Trade Area between the Caribbean Community and the Dominican Republic. 4. The Parties further recognise that, without prejudice to the commitments undertaken in this Agreement, the pace and content of regional integration are matters to be determined exclusively by the CARIFORUM States in the exercise of their sovereignty and in the light of their current and future political ambitions. 5. The Parties agree that their partnership builds upon and aims at deepening regional integration and undertake to cooperate to develop it further, taking into account the Parties' levels of development, needs, geographical realities and sustainable development strategies, as well as the priorities that the CARIFORUM States have set for themselves and the obligations enshrined in the existing regional integration agreements identified in paragraph 3. 6. The Parties commit themselves to cooperating in order to facilitate the implementation of this Agreement and to support CARIFORUM regional integration.

The Parties reaffirm the importance of regional and sub-regional integration among the SADC EPA States to achieve greater economic opportunities, enhanced political stability and to xxxxxx the effective integration of developing countries into the world economy. 3. The Parties support, in particular, the integration processes based on the SACU Agreement, the SADC Treaty, and the Constitutive Act of the African Union adopted on 11 July 2000, as well as the development policies and political objectives related to such processes. The Parties aim at implementing this Agreement in a mutually supportive manner with those instruments, taking into account the respective levels of development, needs, geographical realities and sustainable development strategies.
Regional integration. 1. The Central Africa Party undertakes to build and implement a regional framework to govern trade in timber and forest products originating in Central Africa, including the appropriate cooperation mechanisms and legislation to ensure that it is applied and implemented effectively. 2. The Central Africa Party shall develop protocols and/or guidelines for cooperation between the competent authorities in Central Africa which are responsible for implementation, to ensure that intra-regional trade in timber and forest products from Central Africa come from objectively verifiable legal sources.

Without prejudice to the commitments undertaken in this Agreement, the pace and content of their regional integration is determined exclusively by the SADC EPA States in the exercise of their sovereignty. 3. The Parties support in particular the integration processes and related development policies and political agendas, based on the Southern African Customs Union Agreement signed on 21st October 2002, the Southern African Development Community Treaty signed on 17 August 1992 and the Constitutive Act of the African Union adopted on 11 July 2000. They aim at building and deepening their partnership on the basis of those processes and at implementing this Agreement in a mutually supportive manner with those instruments, taking into account the respective levels of development, needs, geographical realities and sustainable development strategies.
Regional integrationThe Parties recognise that the integration of the agricultural sector across EAC Partner States, through the progressive removal of barriers and the provision of an appropriate regulatory and institutional framework, harmonisation and convergence of policies, will contribute to the deepening of the regional integration process and thus contribute to the expansion of regional markets, which will increase the scope for investment and private sector development.
Regional integration. The EC Party and the Signatory CARIFORUM States undertake to continue to consider further steps towards deeper integration in their respective regions in the field of intellectual property rights. This process shall cover further harmonisation of intellectual property laws and regulations, further progress towards regional management and enforcement of national intellectual property rights, as well as the creation and management of regional intellectual property rights, as appropriate.
