REHEARSALS - MINIMUM GUARANTEE a. At the beginning of any season, the EMPLOYER will guarantee ARTISTS not less than two (2) Rehearsal Weeks prior to the beginning of performance. Following a four (4) week lay-off or more, ARTISTS will be provided, to the extent possible, not less than two (2) weeks of rehearsals before performances can continue. b. Class shall be made available to company members two (2) weeks prior to the first scheduled Rehearsal Week of the season. Class is not mandatory, but the EMPLOYER strongly recommends that ARTIST attends class.

REHEARSALS - MINIMUM GUARANTEE. (a) At the beginning of any season, the EMPLOYER will guarantee to the ARTIST not less than two (2) Rehearsal Weeks prior to the beginning of performance. (b) The EMPLOYER agrees to provide company class at least three (3) times per week whenever at least half the company desires class. Failure of at least one half the Company to attend requested class will be resolved in a meeting of ARTISTS or ARTISTS representatives with the Artistic Director. EMPLOYER agrees that the Saturday Ballet Tech School class during the school year does not count toward the minimum of 3 classes per week referred to in the previous sentence. On tour, EMPLOYER will use best efforts to schedule in advance a daily class of one hour and fifteen minutes with barres and piano accompaniment. If an ARTIST teaches company class he/she will be compensated twenty-one dollars ($21.00) for a class of up to one (1) hour, twenty-six dollars ($26.00) for a class of one hour and fifteen minutes and thirty-one dollars and fifty cents ($31.50) for a class of one and one half hours.

Any lay offs of three (3) or more weeks will require not less than five (5) studio days, whenever possible, prior to any performance. b. Whenever possible, The ATLANTA BALLET will schedule a studio run-through in costume for each ballet. c. Class shall be made available to all ARTISTS one (1) week prior to the first scheduled Rehearsal Week of the season and following a layoff of three (3) weeksor more.

The EMPLOYER will make best efforts to schedule at least one (1) full studio run through rehearsal the nature of which will be determined after consultation between EMPLOYER and involved ARTISTS and AGMA for every cast that is scheduled to perform. This provision will apply to each production other than The Nutcracker. 2. When deemed necessary, by the EMPLOYER, the EMPLOYER shall make best efforts to include spacing (blocking, entrances, exits, etc.) and familiarization with sets and props.

No outside performance activities, including Special Performances shall occur during the first rehearsal week back, with the exception of Lecture/Demonstrations. In the case of Lecture/Demonstrations, the ARTIST may perform as early as the fourth day of rehearsal, provided that the following requirements have been met: 1) the first 3 days of rehearsal have been 6 hour days; and 2) at least 4 hours of rehearsal have been dedicated to Lecture/Demonstration rehearsal. (c) Class shall be made available to ARTISTS two (2) weeks prior to the first scheduled Rehearsal Week of the season. After a layoff of three (3) weeks or more, class shall be made available to ARTISTS one (1) week prior to their return to work. (d) ARTISTS added to a role after the initial round of casting will be given paid rehearsal time with the rehearsal director, choreographer, or xxxxxx to learn the choreography that was taught prior to the ARTISTS being cast. REHEARSALS - MINIMUM GUARANTEE. ‌ (a) EMPLOYER will guarantee to the ARTIST not less than fifteen (15) rehearsal days, nine (9) of which must be consecutive work days, prior to the first (1st) Performance Week in Seattle for any repertory that has not been performed by EMPLOYER for the previous two (2) contract years except if the first day of the rehearsal period is a free day then then the Monday of the first performance week shall count as the 15th day. If the Monday of the 1st performance week is a required free day then the employer may reduce the guaranteed rehearsal days from fifteen to fourteen. Following a lay-off of two (2) or more weeks, the ARTIST will be guaranteed not less than two (2) weeks of rehearsal before the first (1st)Performance Week. Following a one (1) week lay-off, the ARTIST will be guaranteed not less than one (1) week of rehearsal prior to the first (1st) Performance Week unless the ARTIST performed the dance piece or dance work within five (5) weeks prior to the date of lay-off. Notwithstanding the above at the last JC meeting of the contract year, EMPLOYER And AGMA will review the next contract year to determine if there are places where more or less rehearsal days can be implemented based on the work being rehearsed i.e. solos, duets and small group works (less than 5 dancers and works less than 10 min in duration. (b) Class shall be made available when any ARTISTS rehearse or perform and two (2) weeks prior to the first (1st) scheduled Rehearsal Week of the season. In any week when less than four (4) ARTISTS are scheduled to rehearse or perform and during the two (2) weeks prior to the start of the season, these may be classes provided by the Pacific Northwest Ballet School. When any ARTIST is rehearsing or performing, the class shall be noted on the posted schedule.
