Posted Schedule. A departments’ schedule of working hours will be posted in a prominent location at least four (4) weeks in advance of the week to which they apply. Upon written request from the Union President to the Manger of Labour Relations, a copy of such posted schedule will be provided.

Posted Schedule. The regular work schedule for all Employees shall be posted in an appropriate place at least four (4) calendar weeks in advance of the schedule to be worked.

When an employee is required to work more than eight hours in any consecutive twenty-four hour period overtime rates shall apply. This premium shall not apply where a schedule is changed by mutual agreement, or the standard schedule provides less than sixteen hours between shifts. It is agreed that an employee may relieve another employee of his regular scheduled shift on the basis of mutual agreement with the consent of the Chief Engineer. On this basis overtime rates shall not be paid. When an employee is required to work more than eight (8) hours in any twenty-four hour period overtime rates shall apply. An employee who works overtime into the afternoon or night shift will receive a pro-rate of the shift premium for the hours actually worked provided he works a minimurn of four overtime hours. Overtime shall be equitably distributed among members who are available and qualified to perform the required work. Overtime work to be paid at the rate of time and one half (1 or, at the option of the employee, time off, at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/21 in lieu of actual hours worked may be given. When an employee is required to work during a period of days off, he shall be paid at one and one-half (1 times his regular straight time hourly rate for work performed on his first day of rest and double (2) time for all hours worked on each additional day off during that period.

  • Unit Weekend Schedule A unit weekend schedule may be developed in order to meet the Hospital’s need for weekend staff, and individual nurses’ preference for a weekend work schedule. A unit weekend schedule is defined as a schedule in which a full-time nurse works a weekly average of thirty (30) hours and is paid for 37.5 hours at her or his regular straight time hourly rate. The schedule must include two 11.25 hour tours, which fall within a weekend period as determined by the Hospital and the Association. A nurse working a weekend schedule will work every weekend except as provided for in the provisions below. If the Hospital and the Association agree to a unit weekend schedule, the introduction of that schedule and the manner in which the position(s) are filled, shall be determined by the local parties and recorded in the Appendix of Local Provisions. This unit schedule may be discontinued by either party with notice as determined within the Appendix of Local Provisions. The opportunity for an individual nurse to discontinue this schedule shall be resolved by the local parties:

  • Posting of Shift Schedules (a) Shift and standby schedules shall be posted at least four (4) weeks in advance of the schedule to be worked and the schedule shall be for a minimum of two (2) weeks. The Employer shall make every reasonable effort not to change shifts. If the Employer changes the shift schedule within forty-eight (48) hours of the shift, the Employee(s) affected shall be entitled to overtime compensation for that shift. The Employer must inform Employees of the shift changes made to the posted schedules.
