RELIEVING IN OTHER POSITIONS. Employees relieving in a position for over 3 months, will have performance objectives set at the relieving level and not at the employee's substantive level. Any time worked at a higher classification level will contribute to incremental progression at the substantive level subject to the Higher Grade clause. This subclause does not apply to employees at ET Levels 1, 2 and 3. Any time worked at a higher classification level will contribute to incremental progression at that higher level subject to the higher grade clause within this agreement. This subclause does not apply to employees at ET Levels 1, 2 and 3. Incremental movement granted during relief will be acknowledged if appointed permanently to that level. This subclause does not apply to employees at ET Levels 1, 2 and 3.
RELIEVING IN OTHER POSITIONS. A Support Employee required by the Centre to perform duties carrying a higher rate than their ordinary classification shall be paid such higher rate whilst so engaged. Provided that, if the Employee is engaged for four hours or more on the higher class of work, the Employee shall be paid the higher rate for the entire shift.

RELIEVING IN OTHER POSITIONS. 21.01 Employees requested in writing to provide temporary relief in a position outside of the bargaining unit shall receive the base rate of pay for the position unless the employee’s rate of pay is equal to or greater in which case the employee shall receive a rate of pay equivalent to the next step on the incremental grid. Such employees shall continue to pay union dues and shall continue to be covered by the terms of the Collective Agreement.

  • New Positions A. Each newly created position shall be assigned by the Employer to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position within thirty (30) days after its creation.   • Float Positions The Employer may establish regular float positions which are consecutive hour shifts.

  • Positions Temporarily Vacant (a) The Employer agrees to make every reasonable effort to ensure that the workloads of employees will not be unnecessarily increased as a result of positions temporarily vacant due to illness, vacation leave, in-service training, or any other reason.

  • Return to Former Position (a) An employee who has had at least 12 months' continuous service with an employer immediately before commencing part-time employment after the birth or placement of a child has, at the expiration of the period of such part-time employment or the first period, if there is more than one, the right to return to his or her former position.

  • Filling Positions ‌ The Employer will determine when a position will be filled, the type of appointment to be used when filling the position, and the skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the specific position within a job classification. Only those candidates who have the position-specific skills and abilities required to perform the duties of the vacant position will be referred for further consideration by the employing agency.
