REQUESTS FOR EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE. Requests for Emergency Assistance shall be directed to the designated Contact Person(s) on the Emergency Contact Information Forms provided by the Party Counties. The extent to which a Lender provides any Emergency Assistance shall be at the Lender’s sole discretion. In the event an Emergency impacts a large geographical area that activates either federal or state emergency laws, this Omnibus Agreement shall remain in effect until or unless it conflicts with such federal and/or state laws.

REQUESTS FOR EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE. Any signatory to this Agreement shall contact a Regional Coordinator in order to request Assistance. When a request is made through a Regional Coordinator, the Regional Coordinator shall contact other NEPPA utilities to request Assistance. It is expressly understood by the parties hereto that the Regional Coordinator’s involvement is strictly limited to facilitating Assistance by various means of contact and providing information on potential Assisting Utilities, if any. Regional Coordinators have no obligation to ensure that Assistance is provided or to provide Assistance themselves. Once a request is made, it is in the sole discretion of the management of the Utility to which the request is made, to decide whether it will become an Assisting Utility. Once a Utility assumes the responsibilities of an Assisting Utility, it shall be obligated to provide Assistance in accordance with this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Assisting Utility shall have the ability to instruct its employees to return to its headquarters whenever management of Assisting Utility deems it to be necessary or desirable. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as prohibiting a NEPPA member Utility from directly arranging for Assistance on its own with other utilities, outside the parameters of this Agreement.

The extent to which a Lender provides any Emergency Assistance shall be at the Lender’s sole discretion. After all reasonable efforts to obtain local mutual aid assistance have been exhausted outstanding requests for assistance will be submitted to the County. The County will act in a facilitation role by elevating requests to Oregon Office of Emergency Management for state and/or federal support. Typically there is an associated cost share that is directed to the local requesting agency.

  • Requests for Assistance 1. Requests for assistance shall be made in writing, signed by the Chairman of the Requesting authority and addressed to the contact person of the Requested Authority listed in Annex A.

  • Emergency Assistance Both Parties shall exercise due diligence to avoid or mitigate an Emergency to the extent practical in accordance with applicable requirements imposed by the Standards Authority or contained in the PJM Tariffs and NYISO Tariffs. In avoiding or mitigating an Emergency, both Parties shall strive to allow for commercial remedies, but if commercial remedies are not successful or practical, the Parties agree to be the suppliers of last resort to maintain reliability on the system. For each hour during which Emergency conditions exist in a Party’s Balancing Authority Area, that Party (while still ensuring operations within applicable Reliability Standards) shall determine what commercial remedies are available and make use of those that are practical and needed to avoid or mitigate the Emergency before any Emergency Energy is scheduled in that hour.

  • Voluntary Requests for Assistance The Employer shall take no adverse action against an employee who voluntarily seeks treatment or counseling. The Employer shall assist an employee seeking assistance by making available means by which referrals or treatment may be obtained (Employee Assistance Program). Such assistance shall be obtained at the employee's expense.

  • Request for Assistance Whenever, in the opinion of a Requesting Official of a Party, there is a need for Public Works Assistance from another Party, such Requesting Official may, at his or her discretion, call upon the Sending Official of any other Party to furnish Public Works Assistance.

All Education Assistants employed by the Board to assist teachers in carrying out their responsibilities and duties under the School Act and Regulations shall be assigned to classes and/or students by the Principal and shall be assigned specific duties by the teacher during the designated periods of time.
