Requirement for Overtime. 4.5.1.1. Employees may be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime, if so requested by the AFC, giving consideration to exceptional business and/or personal circumstances. For the purposes of this Clause overtime must be authorised by the employer or their duly appointed representative prior to working the overtime. Unauthorised overtime will not be paid. 4.5.1.2. Where there is a dispute in relation to overtime it shall be dealt with in accordance with the AFC Grievance Procedures.

For the purposes of this Clause, overtime must be authorised by the employer or their duly appointed representative prior to working the overtime. Unauthorised overtime will not be paid. 4.5.1.2 An employee whose position is classified as P&A6 or below is entitled to payment of authorised overtime hours worked, or, if the parties agree, to time off in lieu of payment. 4.5.1.3 Where there is a dispute in relation to overtime it shall be dealt with in accordance with AFCT’s Grievance Procedures.

Requirement for Overtime. To receive credit for overtime, the employee must: 1. Actually work the hours for which the claim is being made. 2. Have the overtime authorized, granted, or approved by the immediate supervisor prior to working the overtime. 3. Submit to the immediate supervisor a time form stating the time and date worked, the total hours worked to the nearest one tenth (1/10) hour, why the overtime was worked and the signature of the supervisor authorizing the overtime. The employee's immediate supervisor will then make the necessary designation on the attendance sheet to credit the employee for the time worked. A copy of the time credit sheet will be signed by the immediate supervisor making the notations on the attendance sheet and will be returned to the filing employee. All Lieutenants may be required to attend weekly Staff Meetings at the discretion of the Sheriff or Chief Deputy. If a meeting requires the Lieutenants' attendance during their off duty hours, the rate of compensation will be figured hour for hour and paid back to the Lieutenants through flex time. Any more than two (2) scheduled meetings per week shall be considered overtime status.

  • Payment for Overtime 1. Except as provided in 2.C.3., below, overtime shall be compensated at one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate. 2. Except as provided in 2.C.3., below, for all regular, limited-term and probationary employees, overtime may be converted to compensatory time or paid for at the option of the agency/department. Consideration shall be given to effectuating the wishes of employees. The maximum number of CTO hours which may be accrued by any employee is eighty (80). If an employee accrues 80 hours of CTO, he/she cannot accrue additional CTO until he/she uses some of the hours in his/her bank; instead, employees will be paid for all overtime work performed in excess of that amount. 3. Overtime hours worked by extra help employees shall be paid. 4. Compensatory time earned and accrued by an employee in excess of thirty-two (32) hours may be scheduled off for an employee by his or her agency/department; however, consideration shall be given to effectuating the wishes of those employees requesting specific compensatory time off periods. 5. No scheduled compensatory time off will be cancelled except in cases of emergency. 6. In no case may an employee's work schedule be changed during the workweek when the purpose of such change is to avoid overtime compensation. 7. Time worked as overtime shall not be used to earn fringe benefits or to serve out probation or merit increase periods. Compensatory time off may be used as part of the established workweek to earn fringe benefits and to serve out probationary and merit increase periods. 8. An employee separating from the County service shall be paid for accumulated compensatory time in a lump sum payment.

  • Payment for Working Overtime (a) For all work done outside ordinary hours, the rates of pay will be time and a half for the first two hours and double time thereafter. (b) Except as provided in clause 8.4, in computing overtime each day’s work will stand alone. (c) To avoid doubt, overtime provisions for shift workers are contained in clause 10.7.

  • Payment for Working Overtime on a Holiday Where an employee is required to work authorized overtime in excess of his regularly scheduled hours on a paid holiday, such employee shall receive twice (2x) his regular straight time hourly rate for such authorized overtime.

  • Payment for annual leave (a) Before going on annual leave, an employee will be paid the amount of wages they would have received for ordinary time worked had they not been on leave during that period. (b) At the election of the employee such payments may be paid in accordance with the usual pay day relevant to the period of leave being taken.

  • Calculation of Overtime If the overtime work has been carried out before as well as after the regular working hours during a certain day, the overtime periods shall be added together. Only full half hours are included in the calculation.

  • Notice Requirement for Termination No termination of this Agreement will be effective unless and until the Party terminating this Agreement gives prior written notice to the other Party to this Agreement of its intent to terminate, and such notice shall set forth the basis for such termination. Furthermore: (a) in the event that any termination is based upon the provisions of Sections 6.1(a) or 6.1(e) hereof, such prior written notice shall be given at least six (6) months in advance of the effective date of termination unless a shorter time is agreed to by the Parties hereto; (b) in the event that any termination is based upon the provisions of Sections 6.1(b) or 6.1(c) hereof, such prior written notice shall be given at least ninety (90) days in advance of the effective date of termination unless a shorter time is agreed to by the Parties hereto; and (c) in the event that any termination is based upon the provisions of Sections 6.1(d), 6.1(f), 6.1(g), 6.1(h) or 6.1(i) hereof, such prior written notice shall be given as soon as possible within twenty-four (24) hours after the terminating Party learns of the event causing termination to be required.

  • PAYMENT FOR GOODS AND SERVICES a. DIR Customer shall comply with Chapter 2251, Texas Government Code, or applicable local law, in making payments to the Vendor. Payment under a DIR Contract shall not foreclose the right to recover wrongful payments. b. Payments must be made in accordance with laws and procedures applicable to DIR Customer. c. DIR Customer agrees to pay the rates and/or prices set by DIR with its vendors. DIR Customer understands these rates and/or prices include a DIR administrative fee. d. All purchases executed under a DIR Contract will require a DIR Customer purchase order.

  • Payment of Overtime For the purposes of calculating overtime payments, each day or shift will stand-alone.
