Responsibility Dollars. Responsibility Dollars are paid to employees who take on additional responsibilities that are temporary in nature. Compensation will be provided when responsibilities are either for unusual one-time projects or responsibilities normally assigned to someone with a higher job classification. Responsibility dollars are not provided to employees for additional work related to normal fluctuations in workload or changing responsibilities within an employee’s scope of responsibility. Process: The manager assigning the additional responsibilities will propose the assignment and the application of responsibility dollars in writing to the manager’s supervisor at the level of Xxxx or above. If approved, the proposal will be provided to the Director of Human Resources. The Association President will receive a copy of the proposal.

Compensation will be provided when responsibilities are either for unusual one-time projects or primary responsibilities normally assigned to someone with a higher job classification, the duties associated with the higher classification must be work performed by a position at least two grades higher than the employee’s current classification. Responsibility dollars are not provided to employees for additional work related to normal fluctuations in workload or changing responsibilities within an employee’s scope of responsibility.
