Rest Period on Overtime. Employees will be entitled to at least ten (10) consecutive hours off duty between their finishing time (including overtime) of their shift and before the commencement of their ordinary hours on their following shift. Provided that eight (8) hours may be substituted for ten (10) where there is agreement between the Employer and the Employee.

Rest Period on Overtime. Any employee who works so much overtime between the termination of his ordinary work on one day and the commencement of his ordinary work on the next day that he has not had at least ten (10) consecutive hours off duty between those times shall, subject to this subclause, be released after completion of such overtime until he has had ten (10) consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for ordinary working time occurring during such absence. If on the instructions of his Employer such an employee resumes or continues work without having had such ten (10) consecutive hours off duty, he shall be paid double rates until he is released from duty for such period and he shall then be entitled to be absent until he has had ten (10) consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for ordinary working time occurring during such absence.   • Rest Period An employee who works overtime shall have at least a ten hour rest period between the end of ordinary hours on any one day and start of ordinary hours on the next day. If on the instructions of the employer, the employee resumes or continues work without having had 10 consecutive hours off duty, the employee shall be paid double time until he or she is released from duty for ten hour rest period. The employee shall then be entitled to be absent without loss of pay for ordinary working hours occurring during the ten hour rest period. In the case of shift workers, eight hours shall be substituted for ten hours when overtime is worked:

  • Rest Periods Employees working a full shift will receive one rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in each half of the shift. Employees working less than a full shift, but a minimum of four (4) hours will receive one fifteen (15) minute rest period.

  • Meal/Rest Periods All nurses shall receive an unpaid meal period of one-half (1/2) hour. Nurses required to remain on duty or in the Hospital during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All nurses shall receive one (1) fifteen
