Retention of Sick Leave. An employee who transfers from another public agency to Lorain County, or who has prior service with a public agency, as defined in Section 124.38 Ohio Revised Code, shall retain credit for any sick leave earned in accordance with that section, so long as he is employed by Lorain County, except that deduction shall be made for any payment or credit given by the previous agency in lieu of taking sick leave. The previously accumulated sick leave of an employee who has been separated from the public service shall be placed to his credit upon his re-employment in Lorain County, provided that such re-employment in Lorain County takes place within ten (10) years of the date on which the employee was last terminated from public service.
Retention of Sick Leave. Any employee who transfers from another public agency to the CCBDD may transfer sick leave credit from that agency, provided verification of time to be transferred is provided to the CCBDD within six (6) months of the employee’s employment with the Agency. Deductions will be made for any payment or credit given to the employee by the previous agency in lieu of taking sick leave.
Retention of Sick Leave. Employees with fewer than five (5) years of continuous service with the CCBDD will have their accumulated sick leave retained on file by the Employer. Employees with more than five (5) years of continuous service may, upon separation from employment, exercise options as described in Section 27.12 of this Article.

The previously accumulated sick leave of an employee who has been separated from the public service with the City of Defiance shall be reinstated to his credit upon his reemployment in the City provided that such reemployment takes place within five (5) years of the date on which the employee was last terminated from public service.

However, if the employee received payment for his accumulated sick leave upon severing employment from the previous agency, his sick leave accumulation will be deemed to have been eliminated and the Board shall not grant any credit for such sick leave.
2. An employee who has been separated from public service shall have previously accumulated sick leave placed to his credit upon his reemployment with the Board, provided such reemployment takes place within ten (10) years of the date of termination from previous public service and the employee did not receive payment for such sick leave upon severing employment.
