Rural education with the aim of providing a comprehensive service for early childhood, guaranteeing the coverage, quality and relevance of education, eradicating illiteracy in rural areas, helping the younger generation to remain part of the production sector in the countryside, and promoting involvement in rural development on the part of regional academic institutions, the National Government is to set up and implement the Special Rural Education Plan (Plan Especial de Educación Rural). Implementation of the Plan will take account of the following criteria: • Universal coverage with comprehensive service provision for early childhood. • Flexible pre-school, primary and secondary school education adapted to the needs of communities and of the rural environment, with an equity-based approach. • The construction, reconstruction, improvement and adaptation of the rural educational infrastructure, to include the provision and ongoing presence of qualified teaching staff and access to information technologies. • The guarantee of free education at pre-school, primary and secondary school level. • Improvement of the conditions of access of boys, girls and adolescents to the education system and assistance in enabling them to continue their education, through the provision of free access to materials, textbooks, school meals and transport. • The provision of recreation, culture and sports programmes and infrastructure. • The incorporation of technical agricultural training into secondary school education (years ten and eleven). • The provision of scholarships with non-repayable grants for the poorest rural men and women to gain access to technical, technological and university training services, to include, where relevant, subsistence funds. • The promotion of vocational training for women in disciplines that are not the traditional preserve of women. • The implementation of a special programme for eradicating illiteracy in the countryside. • The strengthening and promotion of research, innovation and scientific and technological development for the agricultural sector, in areas such as agro-ecology, biotechnology, soil science, etc. • A progressive increase in technical, technological and university quotas in rural zones, with fair access for both men and women, including persons with a disability. Implementation of the plan will be based on the following criteria: • Universal coverage with comprehensive early childhood care. • Flexible preschool, primary and secondary education models adapted to the needs of communities and of the rural environment, with a differential approach. • The construction, reconstruction, improvement and adaptation of the rural educational infrastructure, to include the provision and ongoing presence of qualified teaching staff and access to information technologies. • Guarantee of free education at the preschool, primary and secondary levels. • Improvement of the conditions of access of boys, girls and adolescents to the education system and assistance in enabling them to continue their education through the free provision of materials, textbooks, school meals and transport. • Provision of recreation, culture and sports programmes and infrastructure. • Incorporation of technical agricultural training into secondary school education (grades ten and eleven). • Provision of scholarships and grants for the poorest rural men and women to gain access to technical, technological and university training, to include subsistence funds, where relevant. • Promotion of vocational training for women in disciplines that are not a traditional female preserve. • Implementation of a special programme for eradicating illiteracy in rural areas. • Strengthening and promotion of research, innovation and scientific and technological development for the agricultural sector in areas such as agro - ecology, biotechnology and soil science. • Gradual increase in technical, technological and university places in rural zones, with fair access for both men and women, including persons with disabilities.   • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Distance Education 7.13.1 Expanding student access, not increasing productivity or enrollment, shall be the primary determining factor when a decision is made to schedule a distance education course. There will be no reduction in force of faculty (as defined in Article XXIII of this Agreement) as a result of the District’s participation in distance education. 7.13.2 Courses considered to be offered as distance education shall be defined in accordance with the Board of Governors’ Title 5 Regulations and Guidelines. Generally, this definition refers to courses where the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technology (reference section 55370 of Title 5 California Code of Regulations). The determination of which courses in the curriculum may be offered in a distance education format, in addition to instructor/student contact requirements, shall be in accordance with the Title 5 California Code of Regulations.

  • Board of Education If the unit member and the Association are not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen (15) school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2. The official grievance record maintained by the Superintendent of Schools shall be available for the use of the Board of Education.

  • Outreach and Education The agencies agree to coordinate, conduct joint outreach presentations, and prepare and distribute publications, when appropriate, for the regulated community of common concern. • The agencies agree to work with each other to provide a side-by-side comparison of laws with overlapping provisions and jurisdiction. • The agencies agree to provide a hyperlink on each agency’s website linking users directly to the outreach materials in areas of mutual jurisdiction and concern. • The agencies agree to jointly disseminate outreach materials to the regulated community, when appropriate. • All materials bearing the DOL or DOL/WHD name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by DOL. • All materials bearing the OEAS name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by OEAS.
