Safeguarding Policy. This is an official notice of Manhattan College’s policy regarding the safeguarding of customers’ information established by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Manhattan College is subject to the provisions of the Xxxxx-Xxxxx Xxxxxx Act (GLBA, 16 CFR 314) which recognizes the College and other higher education institutions as a financial institution. Manhattan College adheres to very strict privacy and safeguarding rules, keeping sensitive information safe. Manhattan College is in compliance with specific requirements related to the administrative, technical and physical safeguarding of customer information. Manhattan College also requires its service provides to implement and maintain such safeguards.

Alternatively, the hirer can use their own safeguarding policy but a copy of the document must be shown to the Trustees before the booking is made firm.
4. The Hirer agrees with the Managing Trustees to be present (or to procure that its authorised representative is present in the case of an organisation) during the Hire Period to supervise the Event and to ensure full compliance with the terms of this agreement. Safeguarding Policy. 11.1. MKEL operates an OFSTED compliant Safeguarding Policy which is available for inspection on request or on our website. You are required to operate your own Safeguarding Policy which will need to be provided to us at the time of your Booking or one month before the Arrival Date for approval. We reserve the right to refuse access to our Facilities until a suitable Safeguarding Policy is provided.

Safeguarding Policy. 11.1. The Company takes the safety of all parties using the platform extremely seriously and complies with all relevant legislation including the Care Act 2010, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Act. In instances where we deem a "vulnerable" adult is at risk of exploitation or any type of harm and we have received evidence to indicate that this is the case, we will comply with the applicable legislation and refer the relevant parties to the nearest Local Authority's Adult Safeguarding Team. Although the Company does not directly provide care, we take our duties as a responsible organisation seriously and will endeavour to ensure a duty of care to all participants on the platform.
11.2. In instances where there is evidence to suggest that a Healthcare professional and/or Partner may not be able to safely and competently use the Services, the Company reserves the right at its absolute discretion to limit access to the Platform on a temporary or permanent basis.
Safeguarding Policy. Please see notice board in entrance hall for details The Hirer shall ensure that any activities for children under eight years of age comply with the provisions of the Childcare Xxx 0000 and the Safeguarding Vulnerable groups Xxx 0000 and only fit and proper persons who have passed the appropriate Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) checks should have access to the children. Checks may also apply where children over eight and vulnerable adults are taking part in activities. The Hirer shall provide the Village Hall management committee with a copy of their DBS check and Child Protection Policy on request.
Safeguarding Policy. 16.1 The Client is responsible for ensuring that all necessary safeguarding measures are in place for Events with Attendees under the age of 18 years and that the appropriate consent has been obtained from the parent, guardian or carer for such Attendees to attend prior to the event (which can be evidenced on request.
16.2 The Client is responsible for ensuring that all its staff and volunteers have completed the appropriate checks to permit them to work with children, in keeping with the guidance provided by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
16.3 The Client must ensure that all Attendees comply with the University’s safeguarding policy, a copy of which can be sent upon request.
16.4 In advance of the Event, the Client must complete a signed declaration and provide evidence in advance of signing the Booking Agreement that it has its own safeguarding arrangements in place to support the University’s safeguarding policy.
16.5 Where children are present at the Event, they remain the responsibility of their parent/guardian or those acting in loco parentis to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times. The Client is responsible for ensuring that all activities involving children and young people have more than one adult present.
16.6 For activities restricted to Attendees over the age of 18, the Client must ensure that the ID and date of birth for all Attendees are checked prior to admittance. The Client shall be responsible for ensuring that no one under the age of 18 is admitted.
16.7 For the avoidance of doubt, DMEL will take reasonable endeavours to ensure that children under the age of 18 are safe whilst on the University campus but neither DMEL nor the University accepts any liability for providing a safe environment for such individuals. Such liability remains with the Client at all times.
Safeguarding Policy. 18.1 Pan London safeguarding policies for Adults and Minors (Children) are in place and continually reviewed and updated. Every Partner is deemed to be aware of all such policies as may be applicable to their function and delivery of the JAD and all such safeguarding policies shall be followed accordingly.

1. PAYMENT OF THE HIRE FEE (and/or deposit if agreed)
1.1 The Hirer shall pay to the Managing Trustee the deposit (if necessary) on the date of the Agreement.
1.2 The Hirer shall pay to the Managing Trustee the Hire Fee (or balance if necessary) at the time agreed.
1.3 The Managing Trustee, acting in their absolute discretion, will hold the right to ask for compensation, such amount to be determined by the Finance & Property Committee (acting on behalf of the Church Council), in the case of any damage or loss having been caused to the premises or its contents, or any complaints having been made to the Managing Trustee about noise or other disturbance during the Hire Period or as a result of the Event.
