Common use of Saved Holidays Clause in Contracts

Saved Holidays. 16 An employee required to work on a recognized holiday may elect to be 17 compensated for such work by electing to convert the time and one-half pay Section 5 to 18 an equal amount of Saved Holiday time. Saved Holiday time may be used at the discretion 19 of the employee with the consent of their manager, and will be charged in accordance 20 with Article 14, Section 8. Saved Holiday time not used by the end of the fiscal year in 21 which it is accrued will be forfeited. Upon separation from service employees will be paid 22 for unused Saved Holiday time at their regular rate of pay.
