SCHEDULING OF TEACHER ASSIGNMENTS. Teachers shall participate in formulating class schedules, teacher assignments and grouping of students in their respective schools and/or departments. No later than sixty (60) days before the end of the school year, programming preference forms shall be distributed to all teachers. Preference as to subject matter, types of classes, rotation of assignments and the like, dependent upon the available capabilities of the staff and the practicalities of each situation, will be given due consideration in the formulation of schedules. When it is necessary to have a position split between two (2) or more schools, the District will use the following criteria in making such an assignment: the educational needs of the District, seniority, and the number of prior split assignments. Itinerant teachers will not teach in more than two (2) buildings in any given day. Itinerant teachers traveling off the secondary campus (Xxxxxxxxx, Xxxxx) or between elementary schools as part of a split assignment shall have no homeroom or nonteaching duties. Itinerant teachers traveling between buildings on the secondary campus (Xxxxxxxxx, Xxxxx) may be assigned a homeroom or nonteaching responsibility, but not both. All tentative teacher assignments for the next school year shall be announced as soon as possible but no later than June 10, except under unusual circumstances. If the tentative schedule of any teacher must be changed after the current school year has ended in order to serve the best interest of the students and/or the instructional program of the District, the appropriate administrator shall promptly notify the teacher involved, in writing, of the proposed change.

  • Teacher Assignments 6.10.1 Non-probationary teachers will be given the opportunity to indicate in writing their preference as to subject and grade assignment for the next school year. A teacher who desires a change of assignment within a school shall submit a Preference Form to the School Director. The preference will be considered when making assignments.

  • Summer Assignments Employees who worked less than a 12-month schedule at the 10 time of their work-related accident will not be guaranteed summer employment while 11 participating in the Alternate Duty Program.

  • TEACHER ASSIGNMENT A. Under normal circumstances, the teachers will be notified by the Administration in writing of their programs for the coming school year, including the school(s) to which they will be assigned, the grades and/or subjects that they will teach, and any special or unusual classes that they will have by one (1) week before the close of school. Changes in such programs may be made after one (1) week before the close of school, if necessary, and the teachers involved in the change will be notified as soon as possible.

  • Other Assignments Except as otherwise expressly provided in this Agreement, the provisions of this Agreement shall inure to the benefit of and be binding upon, the successors and permitted assigns of the parties. Neither party shall assign or transfer its rights or obligations under this Agreement without the prior written consent of the other party, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Teaching Assignments No employee shall be assigned to teach in a grade level and/or subject area not within the scope of his/her teaching certificate, except where a position within his/her certification is unavailable or when mutually agreed to by the affected employee and principal, or when determined necessary by the principal. Employees assigned to positions outside the scope of their certificates shall be assigned as soon as possible to positions for which they hold certification.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Room Assignments A. The University draws students from many states, nations, races and religions. It will be the responsibility of each resident to respect the rights of all residents in university residence halls. Admission to Texas A&M University – Texarkana and any of its sponsored programs is open to qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. Room and roommate assignments are made without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

  • Housing Assignments The University assigns Licensee to a bed space and does not guarantee specific room types, buildings, communities, or roommates. The University shall have the right to reassign the Licensee to a different bed space without the Licensee’s consent prior to or during the term of the Agreement.
