Secondary Department Chairpersons. At the secondary level, department chairpersons may be selected at the high school and the middle school. Of the chairpersons selected, one from the high school and one from the middle school will be designated to attend the District Planning Advisory Committee. Department chairpersons will be appointed annually by school administration. Stipends for 2019-20 shall be: Chairpersons in departments of four (4) or more faculty members, $788 annually. For chairpersons in departments of two to three (2-3), $604 annually. Secondary Department Chairpersons. 1. Department chairpersons in the secondary schools shall exercise those duties outlined in the Secondary Department Chairperson Job Description dated September 12, 1999, or as may be revised in accordance with this Agreement. Qualifications and method of selection of department chairpersons in both middle and senior high schools shall be in accordance with established BOARD regulations.
Secondary Department Chairpersons. 1. Each secondary department chairperson of English, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science shall be released the first Friday afternoon of each month during the school year, unless an alternate time is agreed to by the principal and department chairperson to carry out department functions as developed with the principal. The selection of any additional time shall be cooperatively determined by the principal and department chairperson.
