Section 7.13.1. 10 Extra trips shall only be awarded to a bidding driver when their dispatch time is equal to or less 11 than forty (40) hours per week, and that extra trip does not create an overtime situation.
Section 7.13.1. 2 Extra trips shall be assigned by the supervisor of transportation to drivers on a continuously 3 rotating seniority roster; provided, once a driver has reached a point where regular assignments 4 for the balance of the week will put the driver over forty (40) hours for the week, the driver's 5 name shall be bypassed until all other eligible, available drivers are in the same position or until 6 the start of the ensuing week. When an extra trip has been assigned or selected from the trip 7 pick sheet by the driver, using the seniority roster and the trip is canceled for reasons other than 8 weather or event cancellation by the other school district, the driver will be paid two (2) hours 9 of pay at his/her regular rate of pay if another trip is not available that week.
Section 7.13.1. 2 Selected office staff (either individual or multiple) will be allocated forty (40) hours of 3 additional time during the month of August at each elementary school to perform AAI or 4 AAII duties as assigned by building administrators in coordination with the AAVs. Such 5 work will be compensated at the employee’s regular rate of pay. This is designated for the 6 preparation and the opening of the elementary schools.
Section 7.13.1. 16 All hours worked on the fifth (5th) consecutive day by employees listed in Section 7.13 shall be 17 compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times the employee’s base rate. All hours 18 worked on the fifth (5th) consecutive day in excess of eight (8) hours and in excess of forty (40) 19 hours shall be compensated at a rate twice the employee’s base rate.
Section 7.13.1. Bus Monitors who transport students in a district van or personal vehicle, if necessary, for any 3 purpose will be paid an additional fifty cents ($.50) per hour. 5 Bus Monitors who are fully endorsed to drive a school bus and are used as a bus driver 6 substitute will be paid at the Driver sub rate or their current Bus Monitor rate, whichever is 7 greater, regardless of the type of vehicle driven.
Section 7.13.1. 26 Employees called back for special service on a regular work day or called on the sixth (6th) or 27 seventh (7th) consecutive day shall receive no less than two (2) hours pay per call at the 28 appropriate rate.
Section 7.13.1. 16 The District shall pay for any fees, tuitions, and other required expenses for any courses or 17 examinations covered in the preceding section. This and the preceding section shall apply to 18 employees in all classifications. Para Educators who must be tested in order to stay in 19 compliance with EASA regulations, the District will pay a one-time forty-dollar ($40.00) 20 testing fee.
Section 7.13.1. 2 Those employees who work a regular schedule during summer break, e.g. summer 3 school, that requires the employee to work the day before and the day after the 4 Independence Day Holiday, shall also be eligible to receive pay for that holiday.
