School Bus. Seating Charts - The assigned bus driver is responsible for successfully completing three copies of the School Bus Seating Chart for each run. One copy must be kept on the bus at all times, one copy is due to the school by the fourth 4th Friday in September and one copy is due to CCPS with the time and mileage by the 4th Friday of September as stated in 7.6.1 No time and mileage will be approved without a successfully completed seating chart for each run.
School Bus. Whenever the term "bus" is used it shall mean a school bus as defined by law.
School Bus. Drivers employed on a part-time basis shall be employed school days only, and as and if required on other occasions.
School Bus. A motor vehicle which meets or exceeds the standards prescribed for transportation of pupils in accordance with Applicable Law.
School Bus. Contractor's Manual of Procedures and Requirements. The Office of Pupil Transportation's School Bus Contractor's Manual of Procedures and Requirements (the "Contractor's Manual"), issued on June 1, 1982, is hereby incorporated by reference and made a part of this Contract as if the "Contractor's Manual" were set out herein in its entirety. Contractors and their employees, agents, successors, assigns, subcontractors, and subcontractor's employees must observe and comply fully with all rules, requirements and procedures as expressed in the "Contractor's Manual." The Director will have the right, power, authority and sole discretion to add, delete, revise, update, reissue or otherwise change any or all rules, procedures and/or requirements in the "Contractor's Manual" at any time without prior notice to any party. Any and all provisions of the Contract, including but not limited to the Article regarding Liquidated Damages, which refer to Pupil Transportation Handbook Nos. 1, 2 and/or 3 are hereby amended to refer solely to the "Contractor's Manual."
School Bus. Whenever the term “School Bus” is used, it shall mean a school bus as defined in the School Code of 1976. (MCLA) 380.6(1)
School Bus. (a) The Contractor must only perform the Service using the Specified School Bus.
(b) The Contractor will be deemed to comply with this clause 5.1
(a) where the Contractor uses a vehicle other than the Specified School Bus to perform the Service:
(i) under clause 5.2; or
(ii) with the prior written consent of the Authority (which consent must not be unreasonably withheld), but only for so long as the Authority consents to the Contractor using that other vehicle.
(c) The Authority and the Contractor must comply with the provisions of Schedule 10 in relation to the Specified School Bus. Where the Contractor is at any time using a vehicle other than the Specified School Bus to perform the Service, the Authority and the Contractor must comply with so much of Schedule 10 as is reasonably practicable.
School Bus. Operations Pursuant to 20 ILCS 2705/2705-605(f), PARTICIPANT agrees not to engage in school bus operations exclusively for the transportation of students and school bus personnel in competition with private school bus operators where such private school bus operators are available to provide adequate transportation at reasonable rates in conformance with applicable safety standards. If the PARTICIPANT does engage in school bus operations exclusively for the transportation of students and school bus personnel as described above, then the PARTICIPANT must operate a school system in the area to be served and operate a separate and exclusive school bus program for the school system. The PARTICIPANT shall immediately notify the DEPARTMENT in writing of its involvement in or its intention to become involved in any school bus operation prohibited by Section 49.19(6) of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.
I. Ethanol Gasoline Pursuant to the Act (30 ILCS 740/2-15.1), PARTICIPANT hereby certifies that all gasoline burning motor vehicles operated under its jurisdiction use, if capable, fuel containing ethanol gasoline.
J. Restrictions on Lobbying The PARTICIPANT affirms and attests that no compensation has been or will be paid from State Funds to a person or entity registered, or required to be registered, under the Illinois Lobby Registration Act (25 ILCS 170) for the purpose of influencing or attempting to influence an officer or employee of any state agency, or a member or employee of the Illinois General Assembly, in connection with the awarding of any state contract, grant, or loan, and the extension, continuation, renewal, amendment, or modification of the same. The PARTICIPANT certifies or affirms the truthfulness and accuracy of the contents of the statements submitted on or with this Agreement and understands that evidence of a violation of this clause may at any time be referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency, State's Attorney, or Attorney General and result in prosecution in the county where the offense is committed or in Sangamon County by the State’s Attorney or the Attorney General of Illinois. The PARTICIPANT shall require that the language of this certification be included in the award documents for all sub-awards at all tiers (including sub-contracts, sub-grants and contracts under grants, loans, and cooperative agreements) and that all sub-recipients shall certify accordingly.
School Bus. Driver Uniforms The Employer will supply each school bus driver with two (2) standard uniforms upon commencement of employment and replace required parts every two (2) years. The standard uniform shall consist of one jacket, one (1) trousers, one shirt and one (1) tie. Bus Drivers are responsible for cleaning their uniforms. Except in emergencies, school bus drivers are expected to dress in the uniform supplied whenever driving a school bus.
School Bus. Prohibition A teacher shall not be required to drive a school bus as part of his/her regular assignment.
