Section 8.3.2. 36 Three (3) of the five (5) days described previously may be allowed for paternity leave, on or about 37 the day of the birth of an employee's child. 38
Section 8.3.2. 34 The following stipulations shall govern the granting of maternity/paternity/adoption leave:
36 A. Not more than ninety (90) working days shall be granted;
37 B. Extenuating circumstances may develop that must be verified by a physician’s written 38 statement in which case leave may be extended;
39 C. When granted, leave shall be without pay and fringe benefits except for that portion 40 covered by sick leave;
41 D. All employment rights shall be maintained during sick leave.
Section 8.3.2. 37 Employees working less than 260 days shall not utilize vacation time during the regular 38 school/work year and shall therefore receive a prorated payment for accrued vacation credit. 40 Section 8.3.3. 41 Payment for vacation shall be made monthly in equal installments beginning in September of 42 each year.
Section 8.3.2. 9 Any employee who is discharged or who terminates employment shall receive payment for 10 unused accrued vacation credit with their final paycheck. 14 A R T I C L E I X 16 LEAVES
Section 8.3.2. 15 As substitute and/or overtime work becomes available, the person at the top of the rotating list 16 shall have the right to the substitute and/or overtime work provided they are qualified as 17 outlined in Section 8.3.4.
Section 8.3.2. 11 In computing the total vacation credit for any period of service, part of an hour will be 12 disregarded if less than one-half (½) hour; otherwise it shall be counted as a full hour.
Section 8.3.2. 25 In the event employees are absent for reasons which are covered by Industrial Insurance, the 26 District shall pay the employee an amount equal to the difference between the amount paid the 27 employee by the Department of Labor and Industries and the amount the employee would have 28 normally earned. A deduction shall be made from the employee’s accumulated sick leave in 29 accordance with the amount paid to the employee by the District.
Section 8.3.2. Personal leave may not be taken the day before or the day after a holiday, or in any combination 26 for the purpose of extending vacation unless pre-approved in writing by the supervisor and

Section 8.3.2. 2 Eligibility for use of vacation credit shall be determined as follows:
4 1. An employee becomes eligible to use his vacation credit after reaching the first (1st) 5 eligibility date.
6 2. The eligibility date of an employee newly hired or hired after termination of 7 employment shall occur on the anniversary date of employment; provided, however 8 that employees shall be eligible for benefits accruing during the first (1st) year 9 prorated to the next July 1.
