Seniority Deemed to Accrue. Seniority for any part time employee who is absent from work due to annual vacation, sick leave, leave due to Workers’ Compensation or any other approved leave of absence shall be deemed to accrue for all purposes under this Agreement. For the purposes of the deemed seniority accrual provisions contained in this clause, applicable absences from work shall be deemed to be time worked and seniority shall accrue based on the average number of hours worked by the part time employee in question during the six (6) full calendar months worked by that person immediately prior to commencement of the absence from work, pro-rated in accordance with the proportion of full-time equivalent hours worked.
