Grievance Timelines. The party responsible for advancing the grievance to each succeeding step shall do so by notifying the other party in writing within the prescribed time limits. The succeeding stage shall commence the day following receipt of such notice. If such notice is not given, or if a College response is not received, the grievance will be automatically advanced to the next stage of the grievance procedure. Extensions of the time periods in the steps shall be made only by agreement of both parties.

Grievance Timelines. All grievances must be initiated within twenty-one (21) calendar days after the alleged violation has occurred, or within twenty-one (21) days after the grievant or the Union reasonably should have known unless otherwise agreed to by the parties in writing. Any grievance upon which a disposition is not made by the Hospital within 14 days shall automatically go to the next step in the grievance process unless the parties have mutually agreed to extend the time. If the Hospital has rendered a timely disposition to grievance and it has not been referred to the next step within fourteen (14) calendar days from receipt of an answer, it shall be deemed closed based upon the last answer. In the case of an alleged grievance which affects the Bargaining Unit as a whole or in a case where the alleged grievance results from an action above the level of the Manager, by mutual agreement, the grievance may be filed at the appropriate level of the Grievance Procedure. The parties may by mutual written consent extend any of the time limits provided in this Article. Nothing contained herein shall prevent the parties by mutual agreement from holding informal discussions regarding the intent or interpretations of any of the provisions of this Agreement. Work days as used herein shall be defined as Monday through Friday inclusive excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal Holidays recognized in this Agreement.
Grievance Timelines. The Association and the district agree that expedition of the process is desired. The following timelines represent the maximum time amount allowed at each step of the process. Action on the part of either party will start the timeline for the next step. • Initial filing- Grievances shall be filed within thirty (30) working days of occurrence, knowledge, or discovery with exceptions for time spent trying to resolve the issue. See page 45 for Grievance Report and Information. • District response- A Written response shall be rendered within ten (10) working days of the filing or advancement of a grievance.
Grievance Timelines. This chart summarizes the grievance timelines. An employee must meet the timelines at each level to move to subsequent levels of appeal. Failure of the grievant or the Association to comply with any time limits specified in this procedure shall constitute withdrawal of the grievance. Failure of the District to respond to a written grievance within the time limits specified in this procedure shall allow the grievant to move the grievance to the next step of the grievance procedure. The District and Association may mutually agree in writing to extend the time limits at any one of the steps. If any of the above dates fall on a day not part of the standard employment contract for staff, then the deadline will be moved to the next such workday. When a grievance is submitted on or after June 1, time limits shall consist of all weekdays (excluding observed holidays), so that the matter may be resolved before the close of the school term or as soon as possible thereafter. Grievance Timelines. Any grievant who does not file in a timely manner or pursue a grievance in accordance with these procedures or within the time limit specified, waives the right to pursue such grievance and will be barred from pursuing or appealing such grievance provided that the time limits may be extended by mutual agreement. If, after timely filing a grievance, appropriate action is not taken, the grievant may proceed to and appeal the grievance to the next appropriate level.
Grievance Timelines. Any grievance filed by the Association or initiated by an individual, must be initiated within eight (8) days from the date of the incident or the knowledge thereof which gave rise to the grievance.
Grievance Timelines. Grievances shall be properly filed and processed within the timetables outlined at each step. If these timetables are violated by the Union, the grievance shall be deemed waived. If violated by the Employer, the grievance shall be advanced to the next step. Through mutual agreement, the parties may put timelines on abeyance or extend them for a set period of time.
Grievance Timelines. Failure of a grievant to act on a grievance within the prescribed time limits will bar any further appeal. An Administrator’s failure to render a written response within the time limits shall permit the grievant to proceed to the next step. Time limits shall be extended by mutual consent.
Grievance Timelines. Saturdays, Sundays, and General Holidays shall not be counted in determining the time within which any action is to be taken in each of the foregoing steps or in Article 11. Any and all time limits fixed by these Articles may be extended at any time by mutual agreement of the Company and the Union, in writing and signed off by both parties.
