Shift Overtime. Shift overtime shall, to the extent possible, be first offered to members of the shift. This section does not guarantee an equal allocation of overtime, but rather, requires that the Sergeants use their best efforts, given the operational needs of the department, to distribute overtime opportunities among the members of the shift as equitably as is practical.
